What makes my villagers think they live on a landfill site? :(

Honestly, I have nothing lying on the ground, I've looked behind every house and PWP to make sure I hadn't dropped anything. The only thing I can think of are the two tiny mushrooms I have near a tree stump. Do they count as rubbish?

WHen I started my town it had perfect status for fifteen days it was so easy to get the gold watering can and now there's nothing I can do my villagers HATE my town, yet it's so pretty and clean.

mushrooms dont affect anything, but trash burried under ground counts as trash. also i think dead flowers do, too

Dig up everything you have laying underground, that's probably the only thing I can think of that could be it.

I'm pretty sure they do, and I think (?) pitfall seeds do too. But I thought fossils didn't count.

They like plenty of trees and flowers so add more, I guess? I can't really say unless I can see your town.

Sorry I posted this in the wrong forum but thank you all for the great advice. Turns out you can't have more than ten things on the ground, including things that don't normally count as rubbish. In my case I had too many baskets of fruits lying around

Nice to know about the 10 items thing! I was going to say that shells that you pick up and put down count aswell (I had some shells decorating my beach ramps and that was my problem back then with this!)
