I don't like the tiny spaces on the top left/right corners of the maps. I'd like there to be enough room for a line of houses and an ocean connecting. That's really all. uvu
-No curvy rjver
-No river that defies gravity
-beach fwcing left
-no pears
-Retail by the train station or the beach
-private beach
-No yellow town hall
-Plaza can't be by the wall
-Train station can't be brown, red, or yellow
-No square grass
-No more than 2 ponds
Everything can be made to look nice, it's just the general overall look and feel of it
mostly though, it's all about space, I can't handle it if it's too crowded
And some maps just look downright silly when one building is too close to another, or in an odd place in relation to another, it'd be really weird if for example, retail was directly some spaces behind the town hall xD
Mostly straight river - long winding rivers take up too much valuable space and makes it harder to fish
Continuous beach - I hate split beaches
Town Hall, Retail, Caf?, Police Station, Reset Center all lined up to make a nice "Main Street"
Shops are all well located - I like Retail to be close to the ramp from the dock to easily sell fish and island beetles
No rocks or ponds in the way of any paths
There are only 2 ponds, one right in my Mayor's backyard which is cute, and one out of the way on the far side of all my shops.
The town tree is in a corner out of the way - I don't know why some people like it in the middle - it's really just a lot of wasted space
Plenty of open space to build PWPs
But the most important thing is that it is Easy To Navigate!
I originally liked retail by the dock because it was easy to sell bugs from the island but nowwww i wish it was by the train station because it would make trading with people easier. I still wish my town fruit was apples but o wells. Besides that, i love my town and it's layout. However... i am thinking about switching up my dreamies so it's going to be a pain in the butt to try to get them all in a row again.
