What looks good on penguins?

So I recently had Gwen move in to my island as a second snooty since Whitney doesn’t craft enough. I want to gift her clothes but I would like to know what would look nice on her short round body. Any suggestions?

I don't have any of the rounder villagers, but you can go to Harv's island to test out clothing on her.
I imagine simpler clothing will look good, since they won't be stretched.

I have Sprinkle in my town and she rocks the striped halter dress. She looks SO cute in it. I only wish I had a picture to show you. I also recommend just using Harv's island like others suggest because once you give clothing to a villager it can be hard to remove sometimes...

I definitely recommend trying out Harv's island because you can dress them up without comitting to anything! In any case, I have two penguins myself and I found that horizontal stripes work very well because you won't be able to tell it's being stretched.

I was about to ask the same question! I've been trying everything on Aurora, but nothing looks good . I'll have to try the horizontal stripes as the others suggested.

I have two pigs, and pigs are ab as fat as penguins, so i oughta know...

Don't give her dresses, they will stretch to infinity on her fatness and look like crap.
Maybe try something like a tube-top or crop-top which will show off the adorable roundness.
either that or some type of flattering shirt.

I don't think the tube top looks good on any villagers. Of the villager species I have so far, it looks the worse on horses

Yeah I can see how it wouldn’t look good on any villagers. Tbh, I don’t think it even looks good on the people in the game either...

I gave Tex a tailcoat and vampire outfit and also a top hat which he actually wore and never put out as decoration. I thought he looked adorable in them.
