Are you a casual player? Do you use this to get away from stress in your real life?

I mainly do it because I grew up with the original when I was like 12 or 13. Now I play because I've missed it and because it's nice to get away from stress from my job. I actually still have stuff I need to grade because I've been doing stuff with my town all day today haha.

I'm a casual player, I play it just to satisfy myself with achieving shop grades and watching my town develop~ I do that with a lot of my games out of 3DS, I enjoy a lot of long term goal meeting games, level achieving and building kind of things. I've played animal crossing since the animal crossing wild world and animal crossing city folk life ect.. and now my favourite is new leaf. yes good stuff xD

Casual I guess, or lazy.
I play then take a break then TT forward. I never TT above the real life date, cause il get bored of playing easier

I guess it depends on my mood. Sometimes I'm the QR maker, sometimes I'm the furniture re-furbisher, sometimes I'm the villager home decorator. Sometimes I like to catalogue or grind for badges, and sometimes I like to landscape. Sometimes I like to cycle villagers for myself, sometimes I like to help others and get villagers for them. I love how there is just so much to do in this game, every aspect takes hundreds of hours... I am still very casual I would say, but it's such a stress relief for me as well. My job is very demanding sometimes and it's nice to kick back, open up my 3ds's and just do something different every day.

I really hope AC:WiiU is going to come out sometime ... I would kill to have this experience on my console with a huge screen. *sighs* :3

I'd say it wavers between casual and obsessive. I can spend hours map and plot-resetting xD but I'm too lazy to do things like write letters or lay down pathways.

Ha I just laid down my whole path around my town XD Still too lazy to write letters back to villagers though.

I'm more obsessive than casual, which makes sense because I do have OCD. My playing isn't a problem right now, but it could turn into one if I'm not careful. I try not to let the games control me.

Plays for 2 months straight, then doesn't play again for another year... Just like with my Sims game.

I'd like to become a more casual AC player though.

I think I'm more of a casual player. I laid down paths in my town, but I never plot reset for vilagers and I didn't reset to get my town map.

I'm like...casually obsessed? I don't know if that makes sense. Sometimes I get super into my towns, sometimes I'll just check to make sure nobody asks to move and turn the game off.

Makes sense. Like right this minute I'm on the forums here, but would rather be on here right now than opening up my game. I could be submitting fossils to get closer to 50 donations but I don't feel like it lol.

I'm often on the forums here more than I'm on the game. I just like having people to talk to that like something I like.

Casual I guess. I can't really play it to get away from stress because with my personality, I'll be thinking about the things I need to do irl the whole time, and it'll just sully the fun of playing. I usually don't play ACNL (or any game for that matter) until I have a lot of free time off from school, typically a winter or summer vacation. Even when I do get time to play, how I play just depends. Sometimes I get spurts of being obsessive, and sometimes I can't be bothered to pick it up.

I play cause I have played since the beginning. It's a very nostalgic feeling every time I play.

Me too! This game is great and giving the vibe the original AC did. Missing a few things but has so much more.

I'm a very obsessive player, and I probably always will be. After being kicked out of my house at 17 the smiling and cheerful villagers of my town have been what keeps me going.

I've been a loyal fan since the original Game Cube Animal Crossing

I've been a fan since 2002 too! I've never been kicked out, but it is nice to go somewhere where all the inhabitants are programmed to be courteous.

I am, and have been since 2002, a hard-core, dedicated LOVER of AC. I have played nearly every day (barring illness or r/l demands) for thirteen years. I hung up CF for awhile when I lost Merry and was too destroyed to continue. But I picked up again with NL and happily got Merry back. I actually went on CF today for the first time in years. What a trip! But yes, AC is a part of my life that I don't see ending anytime soon. And why should it? It's fabulous :)
