I've two towns: Hanamura and Konohana. The fact they both have 'hana' in common was completely coincidental - I didn't notice until after I'd named them both.


Hanamura - picked it on the fly while naming my newly restarted CF town on June 12th. I liked it so I decided to use it again when I got NL the next day. There's no reference hidden in there: I just picked a word (hana = flower) and a location suffix (mura = village) and strung them together.

Konohana - it's the name of one of the towns in Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns.

My town name is Normandy which is named after one of my darling cats Norman. My mayor and second villager also have my cat's names.

Frostivious wouldn't fit; it only allows 8 characters for a town name. I wanted to name mine Whitewood or Winterwood, but NOPE.

So instead I went with Dawnstar. :3
