I know a lot of you guys are still in school, but for the fellow working folk of TBT, what's your job?
I currently work as a Longshoreman, which no one ever knows what that is. It means I work down on the docks loading & unloading cargo ships. The cargo could be anything from containers to logs to big steel machinery pieces. Every day my job changes. One day i'm driving semi-trucks, one day i'm doing hardcore labour.
My father got me this job as soon as I graduated, he takes me working here extremely seriously. He has worked here since he was 18 (He's 60 now). All the men in my family are longshoremen. If I had to be honest, i'm doing this job mainly to please my parents. It is incredibly stressful & the men I work with are burly and sexist & homophobic and love to argue. Not my style of people at all. They get a good laugh at me playing my pink 3DS on my free time. I was ready to go to college & I had to drop out to do this job -.-
