I know a lot of you guys are still in school, but for the fellow working folk of TBT, what's your job?

I currently work as a Longshoreman, which no one ever knows what that is. It means I work down on the docks loading & unloading cargo ships. The cargo could be anything from containers to logs to big steel machinery pieces. Every day my job changes. One day i'm driving semi-trucks, one day i'm doing hardcore labour.

My father got me this job as soon as I graduated, he takes me working here extremely seriously. He has worked here since he was 18 (He's 60 now). All the men in my family are longshoremen. If I had to be honest, i'm doing this job mainly to please my parents. It is incredibly stressful & the men I work with are burly and sexist & homophobic and love to argue. Not my style of people at all. They get a good laugh at me playing my pink 3DS on my free time. I was ready to go to college & I had to drop out to do this job -.-

I would not be able to survive doing a job that I was forced to do, especially if I had to deal with incredibly annoying people. So respect for you :0
Seems sorta cruel aswell ''oh son, you wanted to go to college? Nah mate, you're gonna drop out and be a longshoreman, because it's a fricking tradition.. Deal with it''

Unfortunately I'm still in school so I can't really answer to this

I'm a student! But I'm studying my degree & masters (and hopefully a PHD somewhere along the lines) to do political communications. Hopefully that'll be my profession c:

Well I used to work at a daycare and omfg I have never hated kids in my entire life. I never went back there but they still call me asking for help and I'm just uhm no.

I work in the fund development office of a non-profit, doing donor relations and database management. Soon, I'll be working on social media policy as well. And once we have our policies in place, I'll be one of the main social media maintainers for the organization on top of my other functions.

Previously a cast member at the Disney store, but it sadly closed in my area and everyone lost their jobs and had to transfer. The closest store to me is now about an hour away, so I'm disappointed but that's life I guess. Now I just try to work from home on art commissions or freelance illustrations. :)

I'm too young for a job, but my dad sometimes pays me for watching my little sisters. c':

i'm in college for mathematics and i'm looking to be an accountant.

I am studying for a major in Biomedical science to become an occupational therapist. But I work full time as a store representative.

I work as a social worker/experience expert in mental healthcare.

Really like my job. Before this I worked in a metal factory, that was such a pain.

I'm still a student c: I study linguistics and focus on the Chinese language. Sometimes I work some shifts at a local pub when I'm short on cash, but it's a cozy pub so I don't mind :3 I'll probably end up teaching when I'm done with school.
