I don't like August. There aren't any major holidays during that month and the weather regardless of where I've lived has usually been hot and miserable. The one thing I like about it is that it's right before September, one of my favorite months.

Tbh it's Jan-April lmao. Too much snow and winter here in Canada. So sick of it by the end. Plus you wake up in the dark, go to work in the dark, then come home from work in the dark. Wintertime depression is huge for me starting after new years so I have to be careful and prepare for it.

I hope you dont mind @Shawna, but I started another thread/poll asking about people's favorite months. I am super curious how the answers line up with yours! 🤓

I don’t mind at all ^_^
in fact, I’m glad I can inspire you to do so ^_^

February because it's the Month that I lost my best friend, right after my birthday 😢

June because it reminds me of my deceased dad. His birthday was also in June so the month makes me sad.

November is oppressively depressing, there's this swirling cloud of Christmas hanging over everything and I don't know wether it will be a good Christmas or not by that point. It's usually not, but either way the lead up and dread sucks.

Also best holiday Halloween is over (for most people... every day is Halloween when you try enough), and most of all November is when things start to get notably hot here. I HATE it, I hate summer.

February is kinda bad too because it's the thick of southern hemisphere summer and by then it's really set in that new year still has a lot of the same mundane things. But sometimes the new year actully starts good and February is fine because that carries over. tbh december-feb is just a bit of a bad stretch if im in a doomy mood

Anywhere from March - August are candidates. Spring and Summer depress the heck out of me, but also are just overall miserable times for me.

Traditionally I say May is the worst. It was the easiest choice for me back when I lived in Tornado Alley, as tornadoes contributed to my dread of Spring and May was usually the worst month for that. But thankfully I have now left Tornado Alley and now it's a bit harder for me to find a definitive least favorite month.

I don't really have a hated month. But sometimes winter can be really hard. It was especially hard during the pandemic. So many hours of working that it was just a blur and watching those in charge just handle it horribly. On top of that I was dealing with being a caregiver for my grandmother who had dementia. When winter hit and the days got darker fast it was just too much.

I still get bouts of it from time to time. I used to never, but I think that year caused this shift in my mood during the winter now.

I don't like September. It took me a moment of seeing this thread to figure out which month I dislike the most, but I believe it is September.
July and August are summer holidays months, which means late August / September is a time to go back to work and to say goodbye to leisure time. Routines are back, fun is over.
I also have a little thing against August because I don't know anyone who has a birthday in August, and I love looking forward to my friends' birthdays, so August is a bit dull - but less dull than September.

I voted January because it's the middle of winter and it's the coldest, but I hate the whole cold season, November to March I would say. November isn't crazy bad yet, it can still have some nice days, but it's already much uglier and chillier. In March I have a birthday and it's slowly getting better in terms of temperature and sun, so again not that bad, but it still counts.

I also don't like December. While I do enjoy meeting with friends and family during holiday season, it's usually really tiring for me, and December is full of those meetings.

I was so surprised to put my vote in for August and see it's the second least liked month! Summer is fun, though this month is super busy for my work and it's just so dang hot. This month is also a bit of a gap month for the time off holidays.

January and November just feel so unnecessary, honestly. I think I would also hate February if my birthday wasn’t in that month.

Oh boy...where do I even begin? I don't really like August that much, because my aunt passed away that month in 2012. Also, my dad moved out of the house and went into a mid-life crisis later in around 2014. My parents' wedding anniversary is also the same month, too, so that just makes things more awkward.

And also, I live in California, so it gets too hot around then.

january. it is FREEZING cold!!! besides, the entire months drags out. it feels like 3 months have already passed by, and its only the 23rd!!!!

It's August for me.

It's the busiest month for me work-wise, and there aren't really any holidays I can use to take extended paid time off.

Oh yeah, and it's hot. Couple of years ago, I was sent to Japan for work in August and the weather was the most miserable experience I've had. Everything else was fine, but yeesh, that humidity was killer.

The months that have summer aren't my favorite since the heat sucks and I prefer if the weather has a perfect balance of heat and cold lol

It's a tie between January and February as my least favorite. I hate the cold, spring/summer/autumn are all great seasons for different reasons but winter is awful. December at least has the holidays which makes it fun, and I'm in the U.S. so November has Thanksgiving. But January and February have nothing but cold.
