Woofo Isle
Yo im actually curious about what people island looks like! Please tell me your island theme!
(And maybe give me ideas heheh)

Mine is a casual/small town theme!
I use a lot of brick fencing!

My Island is based off the island I went to on my honeymoon :)
  • A beautiful tropical area by the beach with pool bars, big lounge seats and hang out areas
  • A Forrest area in the back left of the island which you can go on a hike
  • Small shops spread around the island
  • Outdoor movie theatre
  • Big garden entrance when you arrive off the dock
So its a mix of tropical/elegant garden as the theme

Aww thats actually really cute

I don't have a specific theme. Just lots of mini areas.
I have a little village near the airport but no gardens as such for villagers. To the other side of resident services I have a little town square type area with Nooks and Ables. Then I have a museum area at the top which I've terraformed [and may continue to change] with water features and fossils/models. I've just made a little park/exercise area. There's a little cafe area which I might change the location of.

Then I have an orchard area and then a campsite area. Then the highest mountain area is more foresty with some stuff like telescopes etc.

Oh, and a mini zen-style garden on a lower level.

i don’t really have a theme as i have a hard time sticking to just one thing so my island is basically just a bunch of things thrown together lmao. i’ve got a celestial campground, snapping turtle playpen, mushroom/gnome forest, carnival/funfair, park, garden (which is technically margie’s backyard lmao), stuff like that so it doesn’t all just fall under one theme :p

New England/Canadian Maritime inspired heritage town. Our Island is a Sub-polar/temperate one. didn't want tropical cause that's limiting and since I'm Canadian, I couldn't see myself on a tropical island.

The sub-themes of the island are medieval, Storybook and garden.

The town itself is built by the ruins of a castle and the original town, the old stone path was also kept. However there is a renovated main road to showcase the new town. There's also a renovated Church.

There are also various flower gardens, an orchard and a hedge garden with various statues displayed.

The Storybook theme comes from our villagers. Including such as Sterling, Knox, Drago, Julian, Tia and even Lionel.

It depends on the place. I only have say on the westernmost third since I share, though I have done work on my parent’s sections. My favorite spot is designed to be a wilderness, but I also made a small farm section based off of Door County, Wisconsin (a place exactly out of Animal Crossing). My mom has made a cute little playground and a garden area. My dad is only really focused on fishing and his house interior (which looks really nice TBF).

I almost forgot! We don’t decorate most of our beaches too much but the southwestern beach on my island is a Cracker Barrel (a US sit down restaurant chain primarily on the east coast and the Midwest).

I have fields of flowers for half my island and the other half caters to tourist. Full amusement park with game booths, pirate rock, shops, haunted house, maze, driving range, beach house, and a hotel to crash in. Also a dedicated fat camp for those chubby villagers that randomly show up.

There's also a private bank like the Cayman islands.

If i had to name my island theme it would be - zen beach resort with a lot of flower gardens lol
I like to keep places like the beach relatively free so i can run.
My layout is very practical, and rotational - i designed it to be ‏convenient to play for the daily chores.
also i accepted my island "flaws" and worked with i had,
I still have the original rivers and cliffs - but with terraform touch ups(changed sizes and shapes a bit) also added some ponds.

Going for a ruined, monster-infested Adventure island with lots of hopping over cliffs and lakes, there's a jungle with ruins, a ruined forest, a barbarian village where a couple of the "monsters" live (Boris and Spike), the town hall is fortified with cliffs and is constantly being contested by the monsters and the people trying to fight them off, lots of little campfires and broken pieces of wood everywhere, a shipwreck... Lava fields, a swamp, and some more idyllic areas hidden around the map too. It's a mess but I love it! I like feeling like my island has a bit of a dangerous edge to it

I've been searching some inspo for a while and I think the one that caught my eye were city-themed ones!
So I'm making an anime-style island with the following sub-areas:
- neighborhood (residential area with zen fences)
- night market (think festivals in anime with lots of stalls on each side of the road!)
- 'zen mountain' with orchard at the base (the top is a closed-off area with my two fave villagers, decorated with sand & zen/bamboo stuff)
- a long and straight pathway lined with trees leading to my town hall (aka the pathway i'd like to call "where the protagonist meets the love of their life")

My town is based on an aviary, or a home for birds :)
  • All of my villagers are songbirds, penguins, chickens, eagles, ducks, or ostriches
  • I've put a lot of stone theming and garden stuff into the furniture and pathing that I've put around town
  • For each of my villagers' houses, I've put simple, stone, or hedge fencing around their front yards, flowers that match their house exteriors, and a birdhouse that either matches their colors or the colors of their house. (Ex: Cranston gets a red and white birdhouse because those are his colors).
  • My second and third levels are all flower sections (I have my hyacinth, hybrid lily, and black lily sections complete, working on pansies, wildflowers, and mums around my ponds and forest sections)
  • I've made several "park" sections with garden benches and birdbaths
  • Still waiting to get more DIYs like the birdcage and garden rocks to expand some more sections of my island

the southern half of my island is tropical, and the northern half is foresty! so that's looking like boardwalks, lots of palm trees and hibiscuses, and pastel colors in the south, and cedars, stone patterns, bamboo, and natural aesthetics in the north!

Mine’s a rainy/mossy forest theme with lots of purple flowers.
I started by pinning a bunch of photos to a Pinterest board so that I could figure out what aesthetic I wanted. This is one of my faves:

I wanted to make it rustic and natural with a lot of wood and earth colors, nut I guess my personality kicked in and now its still kinda rustic, but with like canals and straightly ordened houses and paths and symmetry. I really tried to prevent it, but it turned out to be a really steep uphill battle. Ah well. I like it anyways, kinda.

I have a really old, retro-type Japanese theme in most places. In others, idk how to explain it. It's just a basic town theme tbh. I'm trying to even out the old Japanese theme everywhere since I think it looks really odd if it's just in a few areas of the island.
