English.
I took five years of Spanish. I remember it poorly though. Never really had anyone to speak it with outside of school.
I've always wanted to learn Swedish though. Since my family mainly came from Sweden. It would just be really expensive for classes here and...I would have no practical way of practicing/using it where I live. So it'd be hard to retain the knowledge without speaking it daily.
Assuming my boyfriend and I get to a serious enough point to where I think it'd be worth it. I would want to learn Vietnamese. His mom plans to move back to Vietnam after she retires. So I'd love to know the language and not rely on others while visiting to get around or talk. We'll see.
Tagalog c: i can speak English (duuh) and a little bit of Chinese because I went into a Chinese school but sadly, i'm not really interested in speaking Chinese ._. so i can only speak the basic ones..
English, but I knew basic Japanese since I was little because my mom is from Japan and spoke it often. Not "hello, how are you?" basic Japanese, but more like "everyday language" basic. That's about it. Also I self taught myself how to write Japanese a few yeaes back so...that's it.
English is my first language, and I'm currently studying Japanese. I'm not anywhere near fluent, but I know enough to converse with people and I'd definitely be able to get around in Japan. I also know a little French (I can understand better than I can speak), and I can read Korean, though that's not very useful without knowing the language lol.
