For me it is definitely Kitana because her slicing fans are awesome. Plus, when I first started I had no idea whatsoever what to do and she was the only character I could properly control.

I always mained Mileena in MKII, but overall I'd say the coolest character is Scorpion. Loved him in the live action movie as well.
Although if we're being honest, all the characters are awesome as far as their backstories, designs, etc... with the exception of Sonya and Jax. Those two I could do without.

she had that unstoppable spinning leg sweep, and rhat awesome blow-a-kiss disintegration finishing move.
the best part about the movie was the theme song tbh...
