What is your acnh wishlist

What are you thinking about when you say incentives? Like Phineas and his badges to make a comeback that you can have then displayed on your passport for others to see? We have filling the museum as a pretty big incentive and Nook Mile Achievements (which are kinda like the badges). We have the island rating system so you can get 5 stars. We have the HHA. We even have getting DAL merch.

So, what sort of thing would be an incentive that is different enough from what we have?

1) Yes, I would like to see Phineas badges make a comeback. They were more challenging, (bronze, silver, gold). Nook Mile Achievements for me do not compare to badges. And most I've already achieved.

2) Correct, the museum is a goal to fulfill, but still doesn't provide enough incentive.

3) I've achieved the 5 star island rating early in the game. Once it's done well, no more goal to achieve.

4) HHA is nothing compared to NL's HHA rating system. In order to get the gold roof, mailbox, door etc. you had to achieve over one million points. Now, that is what I would consider a goal to work for. As for NH's HHA I received the gold trophy. Nothing more to work for!

5) DAL merch is okay for those who travel to others islands. Despite Nintendo's push of social play, not all of us have a desire to visit other islands.

What I would like is a game I paid 60.00+ dollars for give me reasons to keep returning. In less than 8 months, I have a difficult time finding ways to extend NH's longevity.

NL Goals/Incentives—there was so much to work for in NL. Achieve perfect town status, get Tortimer Island, obtain gold shovel, ax, fishing pole, net (all which didn't break), upgrade the rooms in your home multiple times, Katrina, Public works, The emporium, complete the museum. I believe you get the idea.

When I purchased ACNH there was an expectation of a game worthy of the Animal Crossing franchise, I fail to see how NH falls into that category.

I found the message again! Sorry for that delay. I wanted to physically type it out on my computer and not my phone. Anyway, I do have some questions and responses for you.

1. You agree that the museum is a goal, but it doesn't provide enough incentive. Would it provide more incentive if we got something physical for completing each section? I guess I fail to understand how the museum doesn't provide an incentive to play.

2. I agree that exteriors would be better. I think they really missed an opportunity there. But, in New Leaf, once you unlocked all the exteriors there was nothing after that, so that also serves to be useless and not provide an incentive in the long run.

3. Did you know that you get points to get DAL points by going to Nook Mile Islands or Harvey's Island? They aren't exclusive to people who play online with other people. They can just get more points faster than those who don't.

Would it be fair to say that unlocking shop upgrades and the ability to add more buildings to the island provide more incentive to you and would make the game feel more "worth it" if we were able to do that? Like how we invited Mable to set up shop on the island at the beginning of the game, only with all of the traveling merchants (except for Redd)? I do agree that New Horizons lacks those types of incentives. Having a place to go to unlock minigames and extra special DIYs would go a long way to add to gameplay.

They could even add an item and a more complex way of upgrading tools to earn unbreakable tools. Like adding a platinum ore that unlocks a set of DIYs that works like the trash items. Then after you find your first platinum piece, you have an option to upgrade to a titanium tool after breaking your golden tools 10x. Then getting a Nook Mile achievement card for every unbreakable tool you make and then having a special Nook Mile achievement for making a full set of unbreakable tools. AND Tom Nook rewards you with a statue or the ability to buy special unbreakable Nook Mile tool varients or something that you have to buy with 100.000 nook mile points each and completing that achievement gets you another Nook Mile achievement card for each one you buy. Would something like that (which is much more complicated and long-term) provide more of an incentive you are looking for?

okay so some of these are a little silly and some are super basic or just from past games but...
  • cafe with brewster, it would even be okay if it was in the museum (not that i see where it would fit but yeah). I just miss brewster and his awkward dialogue.
  • gracie. why don't we have gracie in this game aaaaaaaa i don't get it we NEED a fancy fashionista selling super expensive furniture.
  • froggy chair. ....
  • honestly a lot of furniture sets from new leaf but i have accepted we're most likely never getting any of them.
  • more furniture sets in general. it feels like we don't have a lot of normal-ish furniture, like there are very few beds and tables imo
  • ability to change residential center, both the brick color and the color or style of the building
  • more design slots. 50 sounds like a lot but it really isn't, i need more.
  • sanrio villagers. i just want etoile. she was perfect
  • heart and bunny balloons PLEASE ;W;
  • bigger storage. the current limit makes sense and is high but i am a hoarder
  • bananas. wouldn't that be nice.
  • fruit bowls with the fruits we have. we have a mixed fruit bowl but i'm talking about a bowl with only peaches, like we could have in new leaf. just a singular fruit on the ground isn't a cute decoration

Just give me unlimited storage space! :)
While I like this idea, I feel like it'd just kill the game. Not like I'd hate it. Just that if you threw enough stuff in storage that loading time would jack everything up. I hoarded the crap out of stuff in the Fallout/Skyrim games, OuterWorlds, and Witcher and it got to the point where I didn't even want to bother going into my storage places to pull anything out. It took minutes for it to register being added/taken out. So I spent a good chunk of time in one of the games just pulling it all out and then selling it to fix the horrible lag.

Plants. Lots of plants. Whether it’s returning plants (like tropical fruits and thickets) or new plants (like more crops) I will be extremely happy every time! I LOVE biodiversity.

New mystery island types or the return of Tortimer island would also be cool!

One major thing that’s a bit of a pipe dream for me is to have the ability to change our PC back to the dimensions of pre-NL. I prefer the smaller, chubbier look of the PC back then (it would also make it more apparent that my character is actually a child)!

Upgrades to Nook’s Cranny (alongside adding more furniture) would probably make the whole forum explode with glee.

Last but not least: more deer/deer stuff lol

1) Museum—Once all fossils are collected, you wait for Redd to show up. You may wait days or weeks, for him to appear. That can be a long drawn out process, but not enough to keep me engaged. As for insects, sea creatures and fish. Usually, the first week of each month you have the option to catch what's available and then it's done until the following month.

2) I wasn't referring to the exterior of our homes but the interior. In NL we had the ability to expand each room several times. That was a great reason to return again and again. At least for those of us who enjoyed maxing out our interiors.

3) I wasn't necessarily aware you could get DAL points from Harv's Island. Thanks for the tip! :)

I would absolutely WELCOME new buildings, and shop upgrades. Personally, I don't care for the Pocket Camp format of traveling merchants. A few sure, but not all.

Unbreakable tools via recipes could be a great idea. My biggest issue with recipes is the number of duplicates vs new recipes. Its extremely frustrating to go into the game only to receive yet another damn duplicate. Nook mile achievements are for me a huge letdown. When you begin the game it's pretty easy to fill up your achievement card. And once that's done what's left? NL the badges you earned were bronze, silver and gold. Plenty to keep you busy for months and years to come.

I wish we could actually take a shower or bath, as someone who grew up going to the beach every summer there’s nothing more gross than having super salty water dried to your skin, even though it’s a game it would be nice if it had that level of realism

You can turn on the shower and stand under it. :) I have a cosmos shower on my beach for this very purpose. I do wish we could take bubble baths or use the pool, too!

Yes, plants and other nature inspired things would be great. And you reminded me one of my other wants are the animal ears and tails they have in Pocket Camp. They are the cutest! Hopefully one day. (Also white hair.)
