For mine I'm doing a Mediterranean island.
An idea I have in mind if someone is unsure of what they want to do would be a 1950's American suburbia theme, considering the abundance in people placing the houses close together. I think the inclusion of retro items like the diner set cements this idea as a possible island to do.

i'm going for a cozy autumnal theme! my island is very rural—not too wild, but also not too urbanized or modern—and it's been really fun trying to create natural-looking areas without them seeming too manufactured c:

My Island is named Oasis, so my theme is based around that.

The center if my island I plan to make a real type of Oasis for the islands name sake. Tuck villagers homes in and around thr mountians and just surroind everything by my central plaza area by the airport in nature. So that once you leave the developed area you could take in the sights.

Tbh I don't have one set theme,, I have multiple themes. Snake's yard is Zen/Japanese for example and O'Hare has a beachy themed area, and my town plaza is kinda classy ish, it's hard to describe but I have many areas

I'd say eclectic, bordering on realistic. I'm not good with using cliffs as a design detail, so most of my island is flat. But it works for me, and that's all that should matter.

i usually stick with a cozy/rural theme. but not like... so rural that there are no paths or anything, just. casually rural with an "overabundance of trees" as Isabelle continues to put it lol

Mine is rustic and antique! Lots of trees and old-fashioned items with villagers spread out over the island. :)
