I've seen a lot of people talking about it? Does it just mean no time travelling for a year?
I used to time travel a lot when I first got the game to finish my museum, complete house upgrades and public works projects, but now that I'm in love with all my villagers I stopped because I don't want to lose any of them. Of course I stopped while it's April in my town so I don't know what to do about that...
Is it true that no matter how far backward you TT it only counts as one day?
I think it's just a bunch of people (mostly people who have reset fever and keep deleting their towns) have pretty much made a New Year Resolution to make a new town on the 1st of Jan and play with that town for the entire year without TTing. Though iunno, maybe there are people partaking who have kept their towns? I was going to do it with my spare cycle town.
And yes, if you TT back any amount of time it only counts as a day passing in terms of most things (villagers moving, tree growth, and villagers saying I haven't seen you in X weeks). You still have the Backward TTing penalties of low turnip prices that week etc. though.
I think you're right about the one year challenge. It's just going through the year day by day without TTing. I don't know if you have to do it from January 1st though. Maybe you could just do it from April to April? But if you did want to do it from January 1st, it would only count as one day, so there's not much of a problem there.
Basically, the one year challenge is trying to get as much AC done as possible (museum, catalog etc) in one year without TTing. It's for people like me who can't stop TTing and resetting
I don't have the TT problem but I always grew bored of my towns and reset.
So I thought it would be a good idea to join in this thing and so far I've not got bored.
It's basically a challenge to see what you can do in a year without TTing, plot resetting and by donating everything.
I'm doing the challenge too! I am really tired of resetting my town. This is my 4th reset to be exact. :/
So far I am having way more fun with this town than any of my past towns.
