julian's house is unoriginal (even when the auctioneer said it was), with furniture in different spots. do you guys know the most effective way of changing up his house? he has some of his original furniture in different positions, for ex his vanity is where the king is supposed to be.
i guess going to their house to buy stuff is easiest but i rarely get invited by villagers except daisy and del.
I don't think there is a "fast" way. Other than slowly buying stuff from their house and selling them back their items they put up in Re-Tail, I don't know of any other way to do it.
Very hard...
Try to send them furniture through mail, whenever they request for furniture, push them to the item in Re-Tail, or when they ping you to buy them off of your hands.
Sometimes a villager will invite you to their house and ask you if you want one of their furniture. You can remove them quicker as well.
Believe me, I tried to make Francine wear a shirt that I sent through mail, but she displayed it in her house instead.
Much wow, 3 shirts - _-
I got Lolly's house back to original by sending her one piece a day by mail, with a nice letter and wrapping paper. It worked. It has NOT worked with some other animals, though. Some put things back in the "wrong" place, some won't take their stuff back. Beau started out with two weeping figs side-by-side, but he wouldn't take one when he asked for furniture ("I already have a weeping fig!") and I don't think he set it out after I sent it in the mail. Things like Marshal's Space K.K. I don't think you can ever get him to put back up, because animals can't really do anything with music you send them. I don't know anything about Julian, so I don't know what the issues would be, if any. Try the wrapped gift in the mail idea to start.
One thing to never do is walk around with fossils, fish or bugs. You shouldn't carry furniture or clothes you don't want them to ask for, either. If I have stuff I want to sell, I keep it in storage until I can dash over to Re-Tail. I used to just walk around with anything in my pockets, and that's how I ended up with Gala with a giant dinosaur tail in her house instead of a bed (since remedied). Never again. If they ask for generic fish or bugs, I make sure it's small enough to be tabletop.
In spite of your efforts, their houses will change. Maybe we ought to let them? As long as it doesn't get stupid. I can barely go into Pompom's house because it's down to practically nothing.
