I've recently been switching the game between English and Japanese, and realized that the dialogue is quite different between the two languages. Here are some differences I've noticed:
- In Japanese, lazies never talk about bugs. They seem much more laid back and chill, like they were in older games. For example, in English they sometimes say that the bugs in the floor whispered a DIY recipe to them while they were sleeping. In Japanese, they just say that the recipe came to to them in a dream.
- The uchi villagers seem much more sisterly and way less rude/snotty than in English.
- The smug villagers seem flirtier, almost bordering on uncomfortable for me. Whereas in English, they almost seem like vaguely uncool dads.
- The snooties seem a little more friendly. Like in English, when you've been hitting rocks they seem annoyed by it and are a little flippant/rude. But in Japanese they seem totally fine with it and tell you they hope you got something good out of the rocks. They even do the the love reaction with a heart over their heads.
