What inspired your Animal Crossing town name?

I named my first town "Rad Town", named after a Miiverse user who played the game.

Other town names I've had include, but are not limited to, "CANDY", because I like Gaius from Fire Emblem: Awakening, "Ostia", a tribute to one of the Fire Emblem games(I think the 6th one), "Camp", obviously named for campsites, and others that I can't even think of at the top of my head since I've had so many towns.

This was my first AC game so I didn't really know what to expect. When I pictured my town before starting the game, I pictured a valley of flowers with a gentle, fresh breeze. Kind of like Kusa Village from Okami. But I didn't want to name it after anything in particular, so I just stuck a couple of words together that seemed fitting and it made Windvale. I really should've used my OC's name for my mayor instead of my nickname, it would've tied things together nicely. I guess there's always the next AC game to do that.

I have a town called New York and one called Brooklyn. Seems unoriginal but I really adore NYC (I'm totally in love with it) so naturally I took my names from there. I have another town called Basil that I got the name from a Harry Potter book, but I hate that town and the name now so I don't speak of it lol

my new town on my cartridge is called tinytree. I wanted to base it off a tiny house community :'D so all the residents have small houses (because I used to hate upgrading and decorating houses), renewable energy pwps, lots of nature etc. but I didn't end up building those PWPs because they're ugly, and I'm going to upgrade most of my players houses because I made this town before the amiibo update, but since the update all I want to do is interior design! so I need more room haha OTL. I think my name is also fitting because my map feels reallllyy tiny because of my poor permanent pwp placements. but I do love my town.

I might restart my first ever town on my digital copy on jan 1 and call it BIGTREE haha and definitely make sure I have a lot of space for landscaping this time round. I'm so **** at names tho. my first ever town was named after a bar in the east village in nyc :/

I named mine "Antiva" because I am a huge Dragon Age fan, and Antiva is a city that was known to be a crossroads of sorts: everyone gathered there to trade and interact, and I liked the whole "community" feel to it so that's what I named my town.

Ahh, Antiva. Such good things come from Antiva. The armor, the accents, Zevran. Those were the days.

my town name is aurora and I named it after aurora, colorado (where I was living when I made my town). not very creative but I thought it was pretty

I'm not all that creative, but I really like unique-sounding names that don't have an immediate connotation to something else (like a fandom), so a few years ago, I started using unusual color words for this sort of thing. I chose Feldspar because I loved the sound, and I thought it was cool that it is both a color and a mineral. My second town, Flint, is thus named because it was another color/mineral starting with F.

Mine's is Rain. I just love Rain more than anything honestly, and it's a name I've been using a lot in stories/roleplaying so I figured I might as well name my town something simple but that is meaningful to me.

When I was a teen, I had these two friends ( they were sisters), and they had a younger sister named Joy. She was such a sweet kid and I loved her name. My two friends always said she was a brat and were sometimes mean to her. I told them that if I had a little sister, I would treat her nice and let her hang out with me. Years later, I had a baby girl, and named her middle name Joy. I still loved the name and that's why my first town is called Joy. Such a happy, cheerful name.

I was sitting in some fast food restaurant with my friend after I bought the game and the original name I wanted (pamplemousse lol) was too long, so then we were thinking of other cute foods and I thought of konpeito suddenly so I named my town that lol

My current towns are as follows...

Oeilvert: named after an area in Final Fantasy IX. I would prefer Daguerreo, but alas, it's one letter too many. I have most of the hamster villagers and they're like my moogles.

Gilead: named after Roland's hometown in The Dark Tower series. I made Cuthbert the mayor, though, since I absolutely loved his character.

Nibel: Named after the forest of Ori and the Blind Forest. Beautiful game, for those who haven't played and/or heard of it. Hard, though!

And lastly...Bunifrey. My husband named this one, as it's a combination of Bun Bun and Gallifrey. I made this town in memory of our Princess Bun Bun McCloud, whom we had to help hop across the Rainbow Bridge. :( This town is obviously my pride and joy...lol.

My town is NeverWas and it is inspired by the World that Never Was from Kingdom Hearts. My character villagers are Kingdom Hearts characters too.

Mine is currently called Fallgate
I was just thinking of what to call me new town and I wanted it to end in gate but I couldn't think of any nice 4 letter words so I went with fall

I am probably one of the few that has a personal connection to my town name. Its the name of my older brother's town when he first started Animal Crossing back in 06', I always name it Fanelia, no matter what, in honor of him. Dude raised me better then my own father, I miss him so much.

My first town "Fruitly" was basically because I was eating a bowl of mixed fruit when I made the town. lol
My second town "Galifrey" because... Doctor Who (also I know it spelled wrong but we are only allowed so many characters in our names)
