What if New Horizons villagers become available as Amiibo?

I don't have any amiibo cards (besides the one that came with my Happy Home Designer game), and I still don't plan on buying them, even if NH villagers became available.

If they released a pack with only the new villagers I'd def get them! I have Sherb and Dom who I'm hesitant to let go because of how hard it would be to get them again, but if I had the cards then this wouldn't be an issue.

It'd be great for this to happen because Raymond would not be so inflated anymore. It'd destroy all of those people selling him for real money on eBay or selling him for like 1000 NMT or something insane. I'd also love to have an amiibo of Audie, as she's one of my favorites and if I knew I had that I'd feel more comfortable restarting my island.

Considering that most of the new villagers are popular such as Raymond, Judy, Dom, and Sherb. Will you consider purchasing their Amiibo if it becomes available? (Honestly, Nintendo missed an opportunity to "milk" the franchise even further.)

As for the poll, I want to make it really simple. Feel free to post your comments of why would you consider buying one? And why not?

Here's kinda what I am expecting to see or read. But I am sure you may have better reasons.

• I want them to live in my island, duh! He or she is my dream villager!
• I want to sell them for Bells and other stuff.
• I want to destroy Raymond's market price.

Honestly, I buy just about ANY Amiibo that Nintendo releases. If I see it, I buy it. I have Cyrus and Reese, KK Slider, Tom Nook, Isabelle, and Kicks already. It bums me out that they don't have villagers as Amiibo already!

Get on it, Nintendo! Take my money!!

I think the new villagers' amiibos, depending on how many are sold by Nintendo and how many are in circulation, will still be pretty expensive. But once the amiibos are out, nfc tags will be available, so that would be pretty good news.

Oh, I was thinking you meant the actual figure Amiibo, not just the cards.

Apparently they ARE doing another printing starting in Japan, but it hasn't been said as to whether the new characters will be among them.

I'm honestly not a fan so I probably won't get them. Mine are mostly the ones from Welcome Amiibo since there was no way to get those villagers to move in your town (NL) apart from scanning or inviting them off from someone else. It's more convenient to just buy them, so I did.

It would be nice to have lower online prices for new villagers and being able to easily cycle villagers around too, so I'll probably bite if they appear on sale...I'll also like to think Nintendo would milk the amiibo money cow, but then again Nintendo don't always make logic choices.

I would want them just so others can have the chance to get them. Every other villager have their own cards so why not the new ones as well. The prices for the new ones are very high and with the release on the cards could help lower it.

For me it would depend on how much they cost. And whether or not I can select which specific ones I want instead of it being random in a box? Which I don't think was the case before, but I'm not too familiar with it. If I get all 10 villagers I want, then I suppose I don't have a need for it anymore.

If it was only Raymond, Judy, Dom, and Sherb, I'd pass. I'd probably get a few if they released every single villager that's in the game.

I think it'd be great for people who want the new villagers, since then their price should drop, but I'm not super interested in any of them, so I wouldn't be buying any.

I am liking the different responses so far. In fact, just a reminder that Nintendo might release them as actual figurines or just another trading cards. Anything is possible at this point.

I like that there are villagers that are harder to find, but yes because I like the npc posters. It would be great to release a new pack with them, but there isn’t very many new characters so I don’t know how that would work.

I would die for Dom's amiibo at this point... I spent 863 tickets looking for him and ended up taking Judy on my 863rd ticket. I love them both, but I can't go through another villager hunting session like that.

Nope, I most likely won’t buy them because original amiibos are too expensive That, and I think with how popular these villagers are resale price wouldn’t be any better.
Also.. I already have Dom, Judy, and Raymond thanks to dumb luck so as long as I don’t lose my island I’m fine with the way things are now and don’t need an amiibo for them.

I’d be interested in the amiibos if they came out simply because I’m working my way towards a complete animal crossing figurine and card set. I did buy the sanrio cards for like....$60 yeah yeah I know it was too much I just like collecting things, honestly.

though, student loans might make me hesitate for a bit depending on the price point
