Some villagers have things on there heads. i saw julian covered his horn once with a beanie... maybe different with different hats!!

Ohares top hat comes off And june has a hibiscus flower 🌺 that also comes ofd..

I was just simply wondering what would happen if they got gifted some hats!!!! Now we know about o hare he can take his hat completely off and you can see his head underneath but i want to know for sure about julian .... i want photo evidence of his head underneath his horn!!!! I cant believe hes just a horse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can anhone please share a photo of him wearing a flower or a hat that goes on the side of his head???

Judy doesn't have a permanent hibiscus flower. She doesn't have anything on her head!!!

That bein' said, I'm pretty sure that most villagers who have an extra hat simply replace it with the new hat they're given. There are exceptions: Scoot just puts hats on his swim cap for example. Julian's horn I believe I heard is removable at times??

I didnt know what that was when i saw him.. i used to think it was one of those wrestling caps or somthing plus hes a jock but i just read its a swim cap..

Some hats disappear and others don't. :)

Scoot's doesn't disappear, which is unfortunate because he's a cute duck, but looks like he has briefs on his head.

Puck's helmet does disappear! He looks a little odd with a bald head, but with a different hat looks better.

I think generally, if the hat or helmet has a distinct shape, it can be removed. But if it's part of their head (painted on) then no.
 
The difference between villager accessories are some villagers like Boomer with his pilot helmet and Scoot's helmet are part of their actual design. More or less they are drawn on them.

You can tell because they will fit the same shape as their head.

Villagers such as Eugene and June, who have external accessories on top of their model will switch out those specific accesories with another if given to them.

That's how you get those pics of Eugene wearing normal glasses and showing off his tiny eyes.
 
Another weird one I never see talked about is the fact that marina has a bow on the back of her head that never goes away. It doesn't stick up though, it's just this little bow that appears flush with her head. I gave her a hat once and one of the big bows that sit on top of your head and she wore both at once. It was weird!

Sure! I don't think I got a pic back then but I took her to Harvs and it did the same thing!!

I think Marina’s bow is like Mira’s star— just a cute extra detail on the markings on their actual heads, not an accessory! in previous games, Marina’s “bow” was very simplified, just the shape.
