This has no scientific basis and the only prediction of it I have heard is that the mayan calander runs out in 2012, which could just as easily be because the guy who was writing the mayan calander realized he was already way ahead of the current year so he decided to say screw it and go to sleep. Either way, predictions are not evidence, they are nonsensical ranting, and ranting is ranting no matter how many years old it is.

Super Mario Bros was a great game...City Folk, not so much. If any of the Animal Crossing's live on in that way, it'll be the GCN one. But Animal Crossing is different from Mario in that the old side scroller Mario games were unique...Animal Crossing keeps coming out with new AC games that are basically the same game with new content, so there is no reason to go back and play the older games when you have new games that are everything the older games were and more. ACGCN is the exception to that because ACGCN had stuff in it that was actually taken out and downgraded....
