What happened?

I was actually thinking about that as well. If they TT'd 15 days later without doing it day by day, do you think there's a chance that she could have moved in and moved out within those 15 days?
I did it day by day, I also did plot resetting so it took very long. On each day, after she didn't show up, I loaded my main character then began the process again

Also, no plot or house ever showed up, that's why I made the thread

I'd just wait honestly, not invite anyone in or get voids as something similar happened to a trade I was dealing with

I sold Rosie and the person messaged me about 30 minutes later saying Rosie hasn't showed up even though she TTed a lot ahead. 15 minutes later though, after both us of much panicking, she finally got Rosie.
If you're okay with TTing I'd try TTing day by day, making sure no one is trying to move out.

I was literally trying for hours... No show

You said you got disconnected from the wi-fi with like an error after saving and continuing right? If that's the case, you've lost her. What I said may have been lost in the pointless and disruptivearguing, but yeah, you confused the game. The save made your friend's game think Ankha was taken, but the disconnect made YOUR game think you never talked to her. So now no one can get her.

Awh... Nintendo...why do this to me D:

I'm sorry that it happened, I hope you get a chance to get her again soon!

For future reference, don't save and continue next time. If the wi-fi crashes and you didn't save, you can just go back and get a villager again without a problem.

I read your post (◕‿◕)

So if you save+quit, then go back to that town to visit and have an error, that villager would still move in?

That should be fine. Once you get back to your own town safely it's locked in. So if you go back and get a wi-fi error, you don't lose them because their game already would say "moved out" on the door before you even come back over and your game would have already registered that villager moving in for you?

Whoa, those ghost-plot threads were very interesting to read about. Thanks for posting them, Krissi.

So sorry to hear that you lost Ankha. I hope you can find someone else to send her to you soon. :)

This is very good information to know. o.o
I never had save-continued before with someone adopting... but now I know definitely not to do that.

I'll tell you the probelm: You time travelled. I find when I don't TT, they move in within a day to a week. Be patient.

That's not the problem. There was an error message. That was their problem.

People seriously need to get off their high-horse on this TT crap.
I don't TT... yet I don't go around point out other's misfortunes saying "well you shouldn't have TTed! that's your problem!" ?.?

I've time traveled twice to get an invited villager in my town, and it was fine.

We already figured out why it happened; the person who adopted her was disconnected from Wifi after saving, which confused the game. This has happened before. Time traveling had nothing to do with it.

anyways @Wholockian / OP
I am working on cycling out my cycle town villagers and Ankha is one of the villagers.
I plan to do an auction on her, but if the auction is a flop ((like my mitzi one was XP)), I'll let you have her.
... but that's only if no one shows up to bid on her once I get the auction up. ^^'

OP, you might want to close this. You're attracting the trolls, look here, they smell it from miles away.

I'm really sorry that happened to you, but at least you don't have to cycle 16 for her? ):

So another former cycler chiming in. Time traveling had nothing to do with the adoption problem that arose here for OP. Tting for the giver does not endange an adoption. Nor does tting fot the receiver as I have traded and received over 50 villagers and I tt like crazy. I think the error message had something to do with it.

It doesn't. I've given tons of people villagers and TT'd afterwards. They still always showed up in their town 1-3 days after.

But I always check their houses to make sure it says moved out. So hopefully the person that had ankha did. :(

And TTing isn't cheating nor does it have repercussions on a villager moving in if invited...but nice try. :)

IT's a controversial topic whether or not TTing is actually considered cheating or not...let's just leave it at that

My question to the OP is did you TT 15 days all in one go or did you TT day by day?

Why are we still debating this D: it happened because OP's wi-fi crashed after save and continuing. Ankha never made it into OP's town.
http://animal-xing-3ds.livejournal.com/228897.html if you scroll down here there's more info about it ):
"Let's say I invite my friend togoboldly to pick up Marshal who is in boxes. He talks to Marshal, Marshal agrees to move, and then I save the game. I then end session and disconnection occurs. What could happen here is that my game will recognize that Marshal has already moved out, but togoboldly's game will not recognize any villager has agreed to move in. His game will only save successfully when he has gone through the "train scene" without disconnection. He cannot come back to my town to retry inviting Marshal because Marshal is already "gone" from my town."

Unfortunately, some people only get happiness out of making others miserable. I have yet to meet a single anti-TT'er who was even remotely pleasant. Kind of like MRAs or bigots who hide behind their religion.

The Bell Tree does not recognize Time Travel as cheating. You may have your own opinions on it but we do not appreciate it when people put others down for time traveling. If you are going to talk about time travel, whether you like it or dislike it, be sure that you aren't putting those down who have time traveled before.
