What flowers are good for borders?

I'm currently filling up any empty spots in my town with pink and white carnations. I want to make a border around my town with another kind of flower but I'm having trouble picking which kind and color.

Any suggestions would be really helpful! Thanks a bunch!

I really like white and purple violets, and purple pansies and pink lilies look good together too

I think I might do pink roses or alternate between pink and white lillies. Whichever one looks better.

Pansies are the best I think, Carnations were my first choice when I saw your title though. I personally hate the look of the lillies, I don't think they look good, let alone as a border. Roses are okay.

I think you gotta put a red lily and a white lily either next to each other or kitty corner, and that eventually makes pink, there's like a lil' chart floating around of how to arrange flowers for breeding.

I've started to make borders (haven't quite bred enough flowers to complete them just yet) with all the blue flowers, so I have a pattern that goes blue violets, blue pansies, blue roses and then repeats that. It looks pretty and makes a difference to the areas that I have alternating coloured flowers.

I always like hybrids for borders, but you have to be careful they don't get trampled/stolen since they're sometimes rare, and a few are insanely difficult to grow.
