I know we can only guess at this point! ;)

But I was wondering what things will be added to the game that weren´t talked about in the last Nintendo Direct.

Do you think we will have more tropical fruits?

Will Label be the only special villager that visits our place without a store on harveys island? She was not shown in the direct (if I am not mistaken) and doesn´t sell anything anyway...

Will we have more crops (apart from the ones we already saw)

Does the return of Katrina imply that we will get a luck system?

...

So yeah... basically the title. What unknown features do you think will be added?

Is that a green pumpkin or a green pepper on the sign?
They could be adding green peppers.

I'm also hoping there's more to Brewster & Kapp'n than we saw in the direct.

Going to Brewster to drink coffee with friends or NPCs doesn't interest me; I hope there's jobs involved like deliveries.
I'm also hoping for mini games with Kapp'n's island.

As a returning player, I don't have much use for seasonal materials and my critterpedia is complete, so islands with different seasons and time of day isn't that great....it is for new players though.

I hope it's a green pepper! I mentioned in another thread that I thought it looked like kabocha (a green pumpkin-like thing the Japanese put in traditional recipes) but after that I remember that green pumpkins already exist in the game. I, uh, forgot because I stopped paying attention to my pumpkin patch after Halloween last year, and just started paying attention to it again to make the new Halloween DIYs.

But what pumpkins shows is that there could be alternate colors/varieties of produce if they wanted to. If there IS bell peppers, it'd be fun if there was green ones, red ones, yellow ones, etc. For the potatoes, they could make alternate colors look like different types of potatoes. Maybe one looks like a russet potato, one looks like a sweet potato, etc. For tomatoes, they could do regular tomatoes, green tomatoes, maybe even the little cherry tomatoes! (I know real green tomatoes are unripe regular tomatoes, but the way AC works typically, I imagine you wouldn't be able to pick them off unless they made them another variant specifically.) I don't know what they'd do for the sugarcane, carrots, or wheat though. Maybe they wouldn't have alternates for them.

-GracieGrace
-Nook shop upgrades
-All previous NPCs, even if just a cameo
-Crafting multiple items at once
-Unbreakable tools
-Being able to place rugs outside
-Perfect fruit and tropical fruit
-All the missing items from ACNL come back
The game would be perfect in my eyes if they added all this!

Pretty sure it won’t be added but I would love to put rugs outside.
coffee mini game
Missing NL fruit
Being able to have more then 10 villagers

Nook Shop upgrade - it seems like something they would have mentioned, but given this has been in the datamines for so incredibly long and this is the last major update, its absence would be very strange.

More returning NPCs? - This is much more iffy. It just is so weird to have so many key NPCs that have appeared in every single mainline AC game up until now not be here.

More furniture - Some people are claiming we have seen everything in what they've released, but I find that unlikely. It would be strange to advertise a game by showing every single object in it. I've never seen it done that way before.

I'll try to be somewhat realistic rather than just giving a wishlist of what I would want for it to add. I'm hoping there are a handful of things not shown, mostly to cover the bases of things that people thought would be a guarantee to be added.
  • Gracie Grace
    • I really really would not understand why they would fail to add Gracie Grace back now, especially since almost all of the old vendors are added save for a few. Gracie Grace was well beloved, had wonderful furniture and would offer a new incentive to players. There are TWO ways I think that she could be possibly implemented. The first being that she's just one of the RV vendors on Harv's Island and just was not shown (however, I hesitate to assume this because we were shown a certain number of Lloids in the empty space and I'm pretty sure we saw the vendors for each of these and I don't see there being any additional space other than what was shown). Alternatively, she could function the same way she did before and come visit the island. She could explain away the fact that she won't go to Harv's because RV living doesn't "suit" her. She could then give tasks that would eventually bring her to Nook's or maybe she'll just be a temporary vendor like Label.
      • ALTERNATIVELY - Label gets a permanent area, or she starts selling new items, which are Gracie Grace items.
  • Nook upgrade
    • I mean I can't see how they wouldn't do this especially since it was apparently in a date-mine in the past. There's a lot of extra space padded around the shop. It could use a few extra furniture spaces or alternatively, ideally, Gracie Grace on a second floor. We know for a fact now that Leif won't be in Nook's since he has a vendor RV at Harv's. But come on! They can't just not upgrade Nook's. Nook's has upgraded multiple times in ALL past series.
  • Other crops
    • Bell peppers of course. I can also see cucumbers being a possibility. I'm not very sure how likely berry bushes or whatever are. But, I could also realistically see melons being a feature as well since melons are grown in the soil.
  • Other fruits
    • Bananas at least, maybe also lemons! As well as the other types.
  • Other gyroids
    • Surely there's not just 11 gyroid styles (at least I hope not). Hopefully there's several, so they're a task to collect. With some new designs as well as older designs that appeal to those who are nostalgic about the old gyroids. Ideally, the "size variety" feature is still in tact as well.
  • All past HHD furniture
    • People keep throwing out the number "300" out there which is just silly. Firstly, we didn't even see the entire sets of furniture that have now factually returned (like the Ranch set, the Rococo set, et cetera). We have to at least see those. And why would they skimp out and only add 300 to an entirely new game that cost money to acquire? Surely they've added more than was just shown, the point of that direct was not to do this especially considering they're quite clear that ACNH is not going to receive further updates.
  • New villager dialogue
    • There's at least new dialogue with villagers when they enter the Roost, when you visit them or they visit you, and regarding the archipelago. I'm sure they added some more with regular interaction as well.

TBH, I feel like they likely covered the major additions. I'm guessing new features will mostly be more limited to new furniture, gyroids, crops, etc. I'm basically positive we didn't see all of them in the direct (I can't say anything for certain, but seriously... there's just no way). If there are other real new features I'm guessing they'll be smaller and mostly quality of life things like possibly bulk crafting, the ability to store plants in storage (please, Nintendo... please...), etc.

BUT I'm definitely not getting excited or too hopeful for anything not in the direct. Fortunately, the direct offered me a ton to get excited about 😝

This is less of a prediction and more of a want, but I'd love to see the option to put the shops in our main island.

I'm hoping for a fast forward or skip dialogue option. I don't even bother with Gullivar when he rocks up on my island because it just takes far too long to cycle through his lines to get to the quest. Now they've added a DLC pack and upgraded Harvey's island, i feel like this has become a bigger issue for me, cutting through the Dodo Airline dialogue is so painful 😅

This is my wish list more than anything, but...:

Really hoping the gyroid storage and café minigames are back. I honestly won't understand why they are gone if they weren't implemented...

The tropical fruits and minigames are a head scratcher too. I really hope they didn't just forget about these ones. And the still-missing NPCs like Gracie (who would have an easy role) and the pelicans and police dogs (though I'm not sure what these guys would do).

I also hope the home expansions can be applied from HHP to our homes on our island. I really dislike the 6x10 and 6x6 rooms we have. I'd be really disppointed if further expansions through Nook weren't added if we can on HHP.

And finally, please can there be a way to have circle grass lol

Considering Nintendo already stated to IGN that there are not gonna be any more upcoming updates (nor paid DLC), I honestly doubt we'll get one. I'm still hopeful we'll continue getting holiday items from around the world.

However, my dream update after this amazing 2.0, would probably be something like:
  • New Nook store expansion. I'd love it if they went with the 7-eleven/convenience store design and not Nookingtons (because I feel that it could mess with many island's aesthetics, including mine, lol).
  • Gracie store included in the new store expansion, where she'd sell unique furniture sets and clothes designed by her (return of the sweets set and princess set, and obviously, the Gracie set).
  • Igloos! This is something I'm sad didn't make it to NH. Imagine having a little fire with a pot where you can cook now!
  • April Fools. It's honestly a shame they didn't make this an actual event in the game with Blanca.
  • The return of hide and seek! One of the very few things I miss from NL.
  • Nintendo items. I loved the Mario items and was happy to see them return, but I would love to see the triforce, master sword back as well (and maybe other Nintendo console models!).

One small thing but they left out the Fairy-tale bridge and i hope its actually in the game after the update

Digby? Isabelle brings him up in an announcement and he was also a working member of Happy Home Academy. I had been looking up past characters (my first game) and he stood out to me, so I'm a little curious if his absence is weird or seems normal. Seeing as he is a NPC with multiple cards, I'm shocked they'd just drop him in a DLC he could fit right into.

The new mystery islands must have something else to them? Right?!?

Maybe some new bridges and inclines?!?

Also I think the sign displays a green pumpkin personally. It looks a bit wider than what I'd imagine a Green Pepper would look like.

I'm still in shock over everything they revealed in the direct, I honestly was bracing myself for just brewster and a couple crops but they really went above and beyond, and at this point I can't even imagine what else they would add to this game that wasn't previewed in the direct lmao

but I guess maybe more crops and a more in depth cooking mini game?

Another small thing that I see as a potential realistic possibility - what about the dinosaur models? Now that we have Cyrus back doing his thing, it'd be great if we could take fossils to him to make some models.
I would love dinosaur models! I miss those so much from New Leaf.
