On a forum I used to frequent we had a game of Animal Crossing Mafia going, and Reese/Cyrus were lovers on opposing teams (Reese being a member of the town and Cyrus a member of the mafia) It became my new headcannon for the couple. It makes sense too. Reese buys rare beetles and sharks on Cyrus' orders, and Cyrus is her contact with the black market.

Okay I love that. And I love the idea of a few villagers in each town being in on it. They're the smugglers, or the muscle. In my town, I think Kabuki and Diana would 100% be in on it. And I just got Olivia- my headcanon for her is that she's a retired brothel madam- and she advises Diana on how to be deadly and well dressed. XD

I just imagine Reese getting a huge butcher's knife and chopping the sharks to pieces, then serving it to Cyrus. Or maybe she has a stall at the black market where she sells delicacies like shark meat, shark fin soup, golden stag stir fry and goliath beetle shells. No one ever leaves her stall without a fat belly and empty wallet.
