What do you..

Being a man and being manly are not the same thing to me. Being "manly" has a lot of generalizations and stereotypes about masculinity. Stuff like courage, assertiveness and independence (thnx wiki)

yeah but this thread is about wht we personally define as masculine
i think identifying as a man is enough

i rly dislike gender stereotypes honestly why r they even a thing

"Manliness" was created as this stupid macho "more of a man than thou" concept that drives men and boys into hating each other and themselves. IMO it's about damn time that it's reformed to include every man or masculine identifying person no matter what size he is, what shape he is, how he expresses his emotions, or what his hobbies and interests are.

Identifying as a man. I've never liked gender stereotypes. I'm a girl, I identify as a girl, I have a vagina, but I HATE feminine things. My boyfriend is a man, he identifies as a man, and he has a beard and a penis. But he isn't what my dad calls "manly."

It doesn't matter to me, as long as the person is happy :)

maniless ? well, physically i consider maniless to be someone who is extremely masculine , with a far bit of muscles and the ability to lift heavy things ? lol

Being a man. I don't think acting a certain way or doing a certain thing will/should revoke your man-card, unless I've been lied to.

Do you identify as a man?
Yes?
You're manly.

thank you. this is beautiful.

also bless ur black soul for this too, frend.

I would define manliness as - if you identify as a male, then you're manly.
I don't really like stereotypes at all.
Whether you have facial hair or not, tattoos or not, piercings, play football/rugby, do ballet or gymnastics. Nothing can make any guy any more or less manly

Your manly if you want to be, thats what I think. You don't have to be able to lift trucks to be manly, you just got to be yourself.

(Cheesy i know)

Sadly whenever I hear the word "manly" I think of society's stereotypical definition for it (love sports, got muscles, etc). How I define it? I think it's not limited to one definition. It can be many things depending on a person's perspective of manly.
