I'm getting a new PC tomorrow and It has Windows 7 on it. My computer now has XP, so I'm going straight from XP to Windows 7. I've never used Vista, but I've heard a lot of bad things about it. How does Windows 7 compare to XP and Vista?

It's basically just a graphic overhaul of Windows XP, with some other extras. A lot better than Windows Vista.

Basically Vista and XP had a baby that had all the good things of XP and the good things of Vista and took out at least 80% of the bad things. I enjoy mine very much.

As a Mac user, I only rarely use my PC any more to play on games and when I'm on it I don't really find it all that annoying, I actually quite like it, especially compared to the garbage Microsoft churns out and calls operating systems now (YES I'M TALKING TO YOU WINDOWS VISTA).

Lol, I was waiting for the Mac users to post.

I still don't know whats wrong with Vista. Anyway, tried Windows 7 at a friends house, pretty nice.

I love my 7 home premium 64-bit!
Kind of a dumb question, but I've seen the 32 bit and the 64 bit ones. Mine has the 64 bit, but what exactly is the difference between the two?
The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system.

64 bit may be a little bit more pricey but is a good. At this moment I'm running Windows XP. I do plan on getting a new computer but at this time, no.

I got got a laptop with Windows 7, but I haven't used it much because I still have to back up all my data on the family computer. I haven't really noticed a difference thanks to how little I've used my laptop thus far. <=L
