What Do You Think About Clyde?

I've seen quite a few posts going around asking opinions on villagers so I wanted to see what people thought of my lil bab Clyde!

Clyde is a lazy villager who I originally met in City Folk when I was like 8! Yellow was my favorite color and I thought of him as my boyfriend (I was 8 man, don't judge) and so of course I love him now for those fond memories. He is just an overall sweetheart who seems to be attracted to my uchi babs. He DEFINITELY had a crush on Cherry when she was in my town. I guess Clyde just has a thing for tough girls lol! His eyes are a lil wonky, not going to lie. I also really hate horses irl and I'm not fond of them in game either but Clyde is my exception. I've come to love his eyes because tbh, they could be way way worse.

So, what do YOU think of Clyde? Have you ever had him? Would you ever get him in your town (why/why not)?

I'm genuinely curious because I have only seen maybe 2 people on these forums who actually care for him! Now I will leave you with some cute screenshots. ;u;

Yeah, he was one of my first-ish villagers and horse villagers are not my favorite. I just never enjoyed them and when I came across Clyde, his eyes kind of weird me out. I think on top of his appearance and the fact he's a lazy both drives me mad. I am sure that there are tons of people who dislike my favorite villager. To each their own.

I think it's really cute that you like him a lot; it's always nice to see someone have an appreciation on a specific villager. You keep on lovin' on Clyde!

meh. i don't hate him or anything, i just don't really care for him. if he ever moved in i wouldn't be too mad, but it would never be from inviting him in.

Clyde and Peaches have the same problem:weird eyes.They would be more popular if they had normal sets of peepers.Clyde's eyes are pretty much the alchemical symbol for salt.I like his yellowness(and his fruity house) but most people looking for a lazy horse probably go for Elmer or Papi because of their more traditional colors and appearances.

I adore Clyde!

Clyde was #9 in my second New Leaf town - after I came back to the game in 2015....and is currently my next door neighbor in my City Folk town! I chose the house because he's right next door.

He is my friend in CityFolk. I wish he'd give me his picture but I recently saw some tips on how to get photos so now I'm hopeful if I put in the work.

Yes. I'm aware of his eyes but I've always thought he is like DareDevil - he's a blind superhero!

People have complained about Stitches eyes too. And Nate's eyebrows.

I am completely on Team Clyde 1000%!

That fluorescent yellow leaves much to be desired, but I'd prefer him over many other villagers (like Jane, shudder).

Ive never had Clyde but i think horses are cute, and his bubblegum tee & that watermelon tee on him is precious.

I really like the yellow and his design is pretty good for the most part, but his eyes just ruin it for me.

this thread makes me so sad :c everyone making fun of his eyes, honestly if he had "normal" eyes i don't think I would even like him that much in the first place, it's what makes him unique.
1 thing i dont like is his default clothes, polka dot pink doesnt go with him imo but clothes mean nothing since you can change it

I really don't have an opinion on him since I've never met him before. His color is a bit bright for me, so I don't think I'd go out of my way to get him, but if he showed up in my town I'm sure I'd like him. I love all the villagers, really.

Definitely have not seen this villager too much. Anyhow, I think he is rather cute. His face is quite interesting and I like that his hue is a tad green. A bit too bright for my town's theme, but still nice.

I had him in one of my old towns for a while, overall he's quite okay, but not really my favorite villager. Besides, I find his eyes kinda weird.

For me, the most forgettable villager I have had in one of my towns was Clyde, the lazy horse villager.

I felt the need for a chartreuse horse with weird eyes to be in my town and Clyde was the only option.He's been a good villager so far even though I can't seem to get him away from the town's central bridge and his squinty-eyed appearance reminds me of French Stewart.As I stated in my previous post on this thread,Clyde's eyes are the alchemical symbol for salt so I wonder why Nintendo didn't name him "Salty" or "Morton".Eh...I still like his fruity house.
