What do you Really Wish you could do in NL, and hope they include in the next game?

I think it would be cool to have a "backyard" space with your house. A place where you can display outdoor items and some hybrids and actually be able to see them while you were running around outside.

Here's my list, in order of priority:
1. Bring the Sports Fair back from the GC version. Just imagine doing morning aerobics with Marshal, or racing Kid Cat around a track.
2. Add footballs and soccer balls from GC.
3. Restaurant "date" type thingies with villagers ( You both go out, eat, talk, maybe have to have a high friendship level)
4. PWPs on beach
5. Backyard space
6. More events!!!! (Ex. Villager-specific events, like "Apple's photo shoot (you visit Apple's house and help her choose what to wear, then get a pic of her wearing that outfit to put in your house) or " Big Top's Key-Lime Pie Chow-down" (Nuff said.)

Good ideas? Bad? What do you think?

I love the idea of villager specific events. A cooking show contest with Merengue . . .

- - - Post Merge - - -

-more house exterior options

-more villager personalities, OR, same amount but each villager has things only they would say as well as what their personality type would say, so if you have 2 of one personality they don't both say the same things, there is more variety.

-3 more rooms upstairs and downstairs- just like the three rooms coming off the first floor. i have so many theme ideas for rooms and i can't do them all.

-more space for patterns

-more villagers in towns

-more space in storage

-DECIDE VILLAGER HOUSE PLACEMENT

-be able to garden and grow veggies and then sell those like fruit, like imagine you could have corn and cucumbers and eggplant and tomatoes and pumpkins and carrots and stuff!

-maybe add yards? i have a room i my house that i made into my "yard" but what if you could have back/front yards that would be like another room but OUTSIDE, and you could place items in them and also grow plants and make paths and stuff, and also plant the plants that you buy from the gardening store there and you'd have to water them and stuff HOW FREAKING COOL WOULD THAT BE

-pwp on the beach

-choice between handheld and console

-new furniture that keeps coming out and you can get it by connecting to the internet and "updating" your store (sort of like DLC but? more lol)

-pause option like stitched suggested

-being able to send mail to friends without going to their town. would help so much with trading and stuff. you wouldn't have to wait till the person and you were online at the same time etc, or about people trampling your flowers when trading in ur town lol

-being able to set restrictions for people visiting your town would be great so they couldn't take your stuff. my girlfriends little brother is always coming in her town when I'm there and messing stuff up to get her mad, lol. also in that situation it would be helpful if we also had an option to send just one person home and not everyone.

-everything sena said

-more hair color options! and maybe being able to dye hair more than one color, idk.

-lemur neighbors because i really love lemurs

-maybe since we can have bikes and boats, being able to not only display them in your house but also use them, although that probably would never happen

-when you sit on the tree and the town history thing goes, it would also said "so and so villager moved in" and then "so and so villager moved out" instead of just totally erasing them from the towns history. i lost a few favourite villagers to time travel when i didn't know much about it and was so sad when it was just like they were never even there in my town

-being able to display items outside. my town would be SO COOL

-being able to actually use certain items like bathtubs, you could go in them, and you could slide down slides, etc

-something to make kicks more exciting because i don't even remember the last time i was in there, i think i have everything already. something that would make me want to check there every day like i do with my other stores.

-imagine there was like a fast food/cheeseburger set of furniture? I've actually made drawings and planned one out, but i think that would be awesome, that seems a little random to people on here but if you knew me in real life you would know that i am obsessed with cheeseburgers :D

-more space for town name, my towns name is galifrey after the planet of the time lords in doctor who, but it is supposed to be spelled with two l's and i had to leave out one because i didnt have enough space

i am a loser with way to many ideas for this game :\

You have cool ideas. :)

- - - Post Merge - - -

- Plant unlimited trees and bushes next to each others, it really ruins my town that I can?t do that.
- More PWPs, yeah I actually have the max amount of PWPs allowed in my town.
- The ability to remove and create rocks.
- Place villager plots.
- The ability to upgrade your town size, basically buy more land for your town.
- Bigger room sizes for my house.
- The ability to get a new layout but keep all your progress, villagers, your house, furniture, shops, and all your unlocked PWPs.
Yes. MORE PWPS!!!! :D And upgrade to a larger town, like you said. Like we do when we upgrade to bigger stores.

My main three would be:

1. The ability to kick a villager out of your town if you don't like them. Having to TT is a pain in the bottom and it can also lead to errors with your favourites moving out if you don't do it in an exact way, which a lot of people didn't know at the time. If a villager moves in who I really don't like, I'd like to be able to make them leave.

2. As stated by most people, be able to place where you want your villager plots. As the mayor, I think I should be able to decide where my villagers can place their houses. You need to have a building permit in real life to build your house, I think it should be the same for villagers, too.

3. I would like each villager to have a different dialogue. Things that only they say. I think that it would decrease the sort of "popular villager" hype because all of the dialogues are the same for villagers with the same personality, so the only thing separating them is how they look. This means people only get the cute ones. If some of the less cute looking ones had an awesome dialogue that only they have, people would be more inclined to get them :3 It also adds realism to the game.

Those are my main three, although I also have to say I want to be able to change the rotation of PWPs. I want to have benches looking to the left so that they overlook the sea ?_?

I have a lot- but some would be,

-Being able to choose where your villagers have their houses!!! Along with most people. I once had Camofrog move in right in the middle of my path.

-PWP placing not too limited. I ended up having to have a weird looking bench seating area with the space problem.

-This would be a cool idea: Have like a restaurant where you can invite villagers to eat and enjoy delicious food! Maybe inviting villagers to dinner could increase your friendship- and I mean- hello, it's food.

-Having Brewsters serve Starbucks Items: such as banana bread or cinnamon rolls. :3 makes it homier.

-As others have said, having a backyard placement would be fabulous. You can show off hybrids and that would be spectacular so you won't be able to run them over. :)

-Having a cellphone- That could be like your instant messaging item. You could send emails (rather than letters) to villagers and invite them to places, or take pictures and have a little mini phone. Could be a NLPhone (See what I did there? New Leaf Phone :3) Also, it could serve as a easier way to know who's gates are open. There could be a little "app" that shows who's "available" or "busy" so you can see who can come over or who you can go visit.

-Also like others have said, put furniture in your town and be able to place it like so. :3 then you could have your own cabana seating place in front of your house to serve as a porch :3

-Actual mini jobs other than coffee shops:
imagine being the little dentist and laywer in your town- or having to design stuff as a architect. This could be a awesome way to earn more money (I know, lots of my ideas sound like the Sims) But they should not be easy.

-That being said, they should have a University!!! So you have to have a degree (instead of six years, maybe 6 days- or at the most a week and a half.) and then with that degree you get jobs.

-Also, with that- they have to make a bigger city area, with shops, restaurants, job areas, university, cell phone company (my idea) and buildings and taxis. If they were to use my ideas, it would be called "Animal Crossing: City Couture" haha :) See what I did there?

I have so many more ideas but I really like these. :) :3 yay or nay?

I wish you could design your map! Like with the WiiU game pad draw the river and where you want the main buildings.

Okay, here's my simpleton-sort of answer. You guys ALL have great ideas! But one thing that bugs me, and I hope it hasn't already been mentioned because I haven't read all of this thread, is that I wish Sahara would do ANY room you want, not just the main one. That ticks me off. :( I'd love for her to do my upstairs hobby room.

Ok, after playing NL and realizing that Isabelle does not always place PWPs exactly where you want them, I have thought of the BEST solution. When you are looking for a place for a PWP while Isabelle is following you, a hologram (pretty much a see tru example, like in some other building games.) is constantly in front of you, and you can press one of the buttons to put it there. Basically, you will be able to see how it looks and get the exact location before confirming to build. Then you won't waste as many bells to get it perfect. :)

Also, slots for tools is a must.

Another idea is a house at the tropical island, like a vacation house. (Like in the Gamecube version.)

Omg well said. These are awesome ideas!

I'd like PWPs on the beach, custom music, and the ability to let bugs loose in your house! I want fireflies swarming through my faerie room!

Personally, if I had to choose what they should put in the next Animal Crossing game, I would probably recommend still being able to be the mayor, since I can still see alot of possibilities that they can give you. Possibly more power, such as adding on more options for you to do, like choosing who you want to live in your village and who you don't, such as having the ability to move a villager out. Maybe having the ability to place villagers where you want without having to worry about them ruining your town (Going over hard work creating paths, bushes, trees, etc) I think it would be also cool for you to do as mayor if they added "holding your events on certain days" (Since the villagers always want an "event" to be held when none are coming in the following months) I think it would be neat to go to an event over a friend's town to have fun with or something.

I would also like them to add more options for hair if possible. As a girl with long hair, most options are usually short, and when there is long hair, it's usually tied in a ponytail of some sort. I think giving more hairstyles helps the player feel more like themselves. I know there are "mii's" but the downfall to that is not being able to wear any accessories, such as flowers, masks, hat's etc. I think that skin tone should be available for choice as well for those with darker skin then the one set. I myself have an Italian tan, and I feel it's wrong that I have to stand on an island for hours just to get my shade of color. If they did it with the new Pokemon game, they can most certainly do it with the new AC game. I think it would also be cool to finally be able to design hoodies of some sort. After all, HHR's very own Digby wears one when it's raining, so they most certainly have the design and look of one. (I think it would be very popular when making clothes)

As for the online experience, disconnections are a problem. I loose my money for something that they do and that's not right. I feel maybe they could put a one hour punish on them as they did with the Pokemon battling system in Black 2 and White 2. Some people just D/C for an easier way to leave the island because they are too "lazy" to leave the right way, and I despise that personally. I know people D/C for reasons, especially people "trolling" such as hitting their menu button so people can't leave because they "can't close the box" or for those that pick a tour and nobody can leave until he/she sits down. That's understandable and that is a big reason on why I think Nintendo has to fix that. I hate when someone picks a tour and I can't leave because he/she is trolling and I've got a box full of beetles and sharks in it. Hopefully, they fix that in the next game.

Other than that, I feel there can be SO many possibilities that the next game can do, bu these were just a few of my ideas. Knowing Nintendo, they usually never disappoint so here's hoping the next game has something great in it like this one ^-^

Bug cages where you can see the bug inside better! Those brightly colored tops get in the way.

Also a more streamlined pocket system. Your tools should be an entirely different category.

I wish we could have our little Gyroid man back outside our house. I miss
that little guy so much. y.y

It'd be cool if you could sort of favorite at least 3 villagers sort of like how you
do with the HHA houses...and by setting them as a favorite it ensures they won't ask or
try to move.

YESSSSS!

2. Someone mentioned a tool belt. That would be awesome.
3. Larger organized storage space -- a section for clothes, furniture, critters, etc.
5. Give the villager's more personality. Have them do the activities when they're outside according to their personality and make them less nice like the older games. It was a lot funnier in second grade when snooty villagers would insult me.
6. The bank card option from City Folk. I hate having to drop all my thinks, go to the post office, withdraw money and then go back to Gracie.
7. More fun events! Even the villagers complain about it.
9. When you complete a section in the museum, it would be appreciated if Blathers would at least dance and have confetti flying everywhere or be more excited about it. His or Celeste's picture as a gift would be great.
Particularly:
5. Abso-freakin?-lutely!
9. How?re they to know when you?re finished? o.0

I came back to add this same thing. =}

Love them all!! You?re hired!

Definite vote for all. I agree, that as mayor we should be able to veto a building plan. I think we could have an apartment building (in lieu of the campgound - would simplify cycling and increase the number of prospects w/o congesting the map) for visiting/wannabe residents who have to submit moving and building requests to the Town Hall. We can approve their relocation to our towns, and their choice for plots separately - ?Yea you can relocate here? but Nay to the spot you?ve selected. Try Again?.

Oooh, I would love to have fireflies flying around in my house! What a great idea!

Moving Public work projects where you want without Isabella making terrible estimations where she thinks you want it. PLEASE :<

The ability to create zones. By that I mean, you could designate a part of the map to be a residential zone. Residents can choose where to put their house within that zone, but they won't be able to put their house outside of it. I think of it as a happy medium between total control and completely random house placement.
