I feel like the exhibit rooms in the museum are suuuuper underrated and I love thinking of cool ideas on how to use the space. Currently I have a Nintendo exhibition, a Moon Bay exhibition/showcase room with trophies and villager/NPC pictures and a storage room for things I don't have inventory space for but want to keep, and I'm currently working on an observatory/planetarium. I'm super interested to hear what you guys have in your exhibits and what you use the rooms for! ^_^

Awww I don’t have the museum second floor yet in my new town,
In my old town I used to have a doll exhibit ( and then it came out so good, I moved it over to a house )
Currently I don’t think I’ll be using it in my houses any more so I’ll probably move it back to the museum. I also had a teddy bear exhibit and same thing happened, will probably add it to the new town.

And I would love to have a Celeste Room and a Blathers Room :)

the teddy bear exhibit sounds adorable! <3

Before Welcome amiibo, I used those exhibit rooms as store rooms, as I had no other use for them
and I also didn't know where I should put all my items I didn't wanna lose, as I had no space for
them in my house or storage. So the exhibit rooms were pretty helpful for such problems. I once
tried to turn these rooms into sort of hotel rooms, as I had the idea of making a hotel back then
when I started playing New Leaf. But it didn't really worked. Afterwards, I just came up with the
idea then to use them as store rooms. After Welcome amiibo, I didn't used them at all anymore,
as I used then the extra storage space then.

One of mine is a Nintendo display room, like an exhibit of Nintendo things--right now it's mostly fortune cookie items, but if I get more Nintendo-things I'll switch it up. I might do another that's Zelda specific in the room that is either random storage or empty.

The two on the other side of the hall are colonialism/exploration style. One is a fossil room, with every miniature fossil displayed on either an exotic table or bench or a basic display stand. I've got a Yoshi egg in here too and plan to add more eggs (if I get a Monster Hunter amiibo for instance) eventually. The other is a study and more anthropology/archaeology. Someone went and appropriated a bunch of artifacts and transported them there. There's also a desk and a large bookshelf in there to make it seem more like a study. There are seashells, the tapestry, the tribal mask, the sphinx and mummy casket, an Aquarius urn, the general's fan on a daimyo table, that kind of thing. I think they look great even though they're kind of messed up because of the colonialism.

I love working on my museum rooms because they give me the freedom to do things that wouldn't go with my town theme. So far, I have 3 rooms completed and I'm planning out my fourth room.

Room 1: Mushroom Kingdom
This is my Nintendo room, but it mostly focuses on items from the Mario world.

Room 2: A Bug's Life
I really wanted to do something with all of the cute bug and leaf furniture that you can get, so this is what I came up. I really like how this room turned out. I have Wandering playing on the Cicada Stereo and it sounds so perfect.

Room 3: Currently gyroid storage, but will soon be an underwater room with furniture from the fishing tourney and Pascal, seashells, treasure chests, and broken posts and brown pots.

Room 4: Memories
All of my pictures of villagers, past and present, and NPCs. It's almost full, so I'm going to have to come up with a new layout soon.

These are beautiful! <3

Top Left - Squid Sisters and Inkwell items

Top Right - 7-Eleven and Filly items; there's also the slushi machine, some store shelves, and some basic display stands.

Lower Left - All Legend of Zelda items; there's also the related fortune cookie items, Makar's mask, and their villager pics.

Lower Right - Mermaid set; there's also the sandcastle, sea globe, and a music box of K.K. Bubblegum
(I think it's that song... It's been a while since I've opened it).

I currently have a 'Mario Interactive' exhibit, with mostly fortune cookie items. I recently moved all my mushroom furniture into a new exhibit room as well, but I'm still working on that c:

Two of my exhibit rooms are being used to showcase KK's music. I have each album on the walls, and under each album I've made a clam music box of each song :) I've only made 4 music boxes so far due to a lack of giant clam shells, but hopefully one day I'll have the whole collection!
The other two exhibit rooms are being used as storage for my unorderable items, as I have no room for them currently but I dont quite want to get rid of them.

Main town- Island Room displays the extra island items and some cabana items. Two favorite villagers pictures are on display.
I just removed a Bathroom, Spa, Massage Room. It was nice but I added a bathroom in the mayor house.
2nd Room-Dressing Room with favorite Gracie clothing hanging on the wall with pant/skirts under the clothing.
3rd Room- Furniture redone and RV items for future villager gifts.
4th Room- Some Welcome Amiibo items and extra artwork for towns. I also use it to store season event items to give to villagers when they ask for new item.

Most are used to store stuff like unorderables, regional exclusive DLC, island stuff, sloppy, cardboard, special furniture, villager pics, Leifs' Weeding Day prizes and stuff like that, so I don't accidentally loose them.

Usually they are storage rooms, but I did get round to redecorating some in my main town after I finished landscaping that one.
Room 1 - Mini korok forest with gyroids as the koroks lol. There's some Zelda items in there that fit the theme, and of the course, the master sword.
Room 2 - Weapons artefacts room.
Room 3 - Food room. I love all the food items in the games but I don't like to leave them out in my room because I inevitably think of roaches lol. So I put all the food items I can in this room, kinda like a banquet hall.
Room 4 - This is my refurbished items room. Whenever I change up my rooms I come here to pick up furniture I keep in here (because I hate rummaging through my storage)

In my new town it's mainly storage rooms to keep saplings and hybrids. My town only has purple, blue, pink, and black flowers so any other flowers I keep them in there to sell or give away at a later date. In one of my resident's homes I also have a classroom that I want to change up occasionally depending on the "class" (eg. flower arranging class, cooking class, knitting class, painting class etc.) so I design the rooms in one of the museum exhibits before moving them into the actual room.

Usually to stuff things so I know where they are rather than going through random lockers and stuff. Someone actually went and visited a such room once which was neat so yeah whenever I play and eventuality get the rooms that's what they are for.

Main town: used to be fortune cookie items, but cleared them out a long ago. So now, can't remember? But I intend on fixing it up soon.
Second town: nothing yet!

First room: It started as a place to store my mushroom furniture collection and I think it has become almost fairy tale-ish? It ended up turning out this way somehow.

Second room: photoshoot room, currently hosting a Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls theme because of a past QR code
