This is gonna be long. just a warning!
I was crazy lucky in school and I only had a few teachers that I can remember who were bitter and seemed to hate teaching (and kids, honestly

)
However, I'd say that the things I hated the most were probably little things that stacked up quickly. To give you an idea, my town is a more wealthy one, and our school system is one of the best in the state, and top 100 in the country...which is great because I know I'm getting a valuable education, but also the pressure put on every student is ridiculous. On the social side, people get really clique-ey here for whatever reason. Those who didn't quite fit a groups' mold would be kicked out of said group. I would hear people gossiping all the time, saying the worst things about their supposed best friends. Everyone was judgmental about the littlest things. I found an awesome friend group, but I just felt like there were these barriers around some people where I was almost forbidden from speaking with them.
As for the school system itself, I hated the GPA system. I can't get too into it, but the way it's structured here is awful-for example, if a student were taking a "Level 4" class (Special Needs class), then the highest GPA they could get, even with a 100 average, would be a 3.0 (Equivalent of a B- average in any of my classes.) This system ONLY benefitted students taking Honors or AP courses, and though it helped me a lot in my last 2 years of school, it TOTALLY screwed a few of my friends over when they started their college search.
I also hated that Homework was the majority of my grade in most classes-In one, it was actually
60% of my term grade-missing one assignment could drop my grade by 3-5 points.

If you're present in class, participating and note taking and etc., you shouldn't have 40% of your grade be based on whether you did a sheet that can take 10-20 mins
at most.
Last thing: I hated how much my school pressures people into going into college. They would bombard us with Colleges to look into, but they'd never help people who had different plans (starting careers right away, army/ROTC, gap year etc...)--they'd keep pushing you go to school. :T
All of this being said, I'm very excited to start college in the fall. As much as I like complaining, I love learning even more
