What do you do with small strips of land?

My favorite maps/rivers tend to leave me with small strips of land that seem to be somewhat useless. For a while I simply planted a lot of trees there for an 'orchid' but it's kind of boring and I'd like to use the area for something instead of just leaving it empty. It's about 6 squares wide, smushed between the rails and the river. Is there anything I can even do there or is it hopeless?

I have the same problem with my town and I wish I could erase it. it's not worth resetting over though, I have a villager who has their house there and im just debating on putting cedar saplings there since it goes with my town. if a villager isn't there, I would put a PWP there or do something creative with special stumps.

I have that useless bit of land too! All along the railway, both on the left and right side, is useless I just lined it up with trees and put a path leading no where. Just so that it looks occupied. I would do more with it, but nothing fits without destroying the trees and I don't want a house or PWP right up against the railroad. I was thinking of putting some 1x1 PWPs there but I thought it would be pretty wasteful since no one goes up there anyway, including myself. So it will just have to be useless.

I have a small strip of land in the upper left corner of my town which I'm saving a bench for. Benches are perfect for those small bits of land, especially if they overlook the ocean.

I have trees and stepping stones with clovers and flower. I think it looks okay. I'm not 100% satisfied with it at present moment however.

I had a small strip of land in the South East of my town, it was on a cliff overlooking the beach so I put a bench there and surrounded it with pretty hybrids and bushes. I think it looks pretty cute! (Unfortunately no villager ever goes there so my hard work was wasted >~<) Id suggest putting a small PWP there, anything that fits the theme of your town (if you have one) will do, and then put some flowers around it. It will look decent, better than it being completely bare!

I put my mules there, and any unused space gets perfect fruit planted there. It's also great for trapping Joan.

I plant a pitfall in the corner so they won't spawn every day. As for decorating I've done a fairy circle with the stone tablet in one town, a bench near the river and, if space allows it, an illuminated heart behind it for a cute little sitting area.

I have a small strip of land on the top right of town and plan on putting some cedar trees and a metal bench at the far end for a hidden little hangout.

I have some bamboo and a money tree planted there. It's a good place to grow bamboo. They can't spread as much

I use it for an orchard too u_u literally I put a sign there too that says apple orchard hahaha. Hazel lives there though so it's not so lonely. I also put a log bench near her house and a scarecrow. It's kind of a cute trek to her house when I need to make deliveries, but otherwise I never go there.

I have a small strip of land in the upper right and upper left part of my town. On the upper right I put the caf? with a bench to the right of it and I put the campsite with a wind turbine to the left of it on the upper left side. I'm honestly really surprised that I was able to fit all those PWPs there.
