What do you do when villagers ask for furniture?

I find something that will go with the way I'm trying to get their house to look and hopefully it will replace that stupid loach they picked up somewhere!

I usually just give the villager a random item from my inventory or something I'm trying to get rid of.

If I think it will look good in their house, then I'll give it to them. If it's something that would look horribly out of place, I generally don't let them have it. I don't care about originality but I still like having their houses look decent.

I give them something thoughtful if it's someone I really like. But the other day Cube wanted to swap out his laptop for something else, so I just caught a honeybee and traded that . It would* be funny to see a villager's house who is completely filled with fish or bugs though

Ive been trying to "cleanse" my villagers houses recently so I ordered some of their original furniture and always try to have some on me in case they ask for a new piece of furniture (but I have stored in my mail so they can't ping me for someone else's furniture)
