What do you call your "significant other"?

I call them by their name, because words like "baby" sound gross to me.

a lot of those cutesy pet names are so cringe-y to me

"dude" is fine, "babe" is ok but that's pushing it

I rarely ever use his name, and he rarely uses mine.

I don't know what that means, really. Maybe you'll never start with the cutesy junk.

Haha even with my past boyfriends I've only used their names really, or their nicknames. I've gotten a lot of babes though and variations in different languages (which I'm fine with).

I feel strange using his full name, or any variation. Unless I'm yelling for / at him.

I just feel like there's a certain intimacy to having your own little names for each other. Like- to everyone else you're "_____", but to them, you're "_____". It's like having something they picked out to call you just between the two of you.

But we're weird like that and we're THAT COUPLE that hugs / holds hands in public. You'd think that would wear off after five years.

lol we're gross.

I usually call her a nerd or dummy bear, or even sometimes Squidward.

I don't have one currently, last one was "porcinet" which means piggy in french, because when he was a little kid he was super fat and that's what people called him at school. He acted like it annoyed him but I know he liked it.

I always felt awkward using the common "babe" or "baby" I just can't see to say it. But I always use "bebe" or "beeb" because its the cantonese slang way, and it sounds cute. It's come natural to me now. ^^ To a friend, I just refer my boyfriend as his name or a lesser known friend as "my boyfriend".

I hardly say my boyfriends name and it sounds weird when I actually do lol
