I've never really planned anything for my birthday before, persay. I used to have the kind of friend group that would just hang out and have fun. But lately. . . long story short, I'm worried that if I don't have at least some ideas of stuff to do, we're all going to end up sitting and staring at each other in silence. Of course, I could just not have anyone over for my birthday. . . but that would be a little depressing.

So I have a few things in mind, but, what do you guys do when you have a group of friends you need to amuse?

Eh, I used to celebrate my birthdays with my cousin who's birthday is a few days before mine.

We don't really do that anymore though for the last few years I've been spending my birthdays alone or just with my close family :(

I'd always go to amusement parks or the beach because my birthday is in summer, but it's kind of suck-ish because my family does that anyway. This year though, I'm going to california with some of my friends to go to Anime-Expo :) That should be pretty exciting. 20th birthdays are special and should be treated as such.

I'm 22 so I mean, if I do anything it's usually just going somewhere with my family, like out to eat or a day trip somewhere, I don't really have a bunch of close friends so it's usually just me and my family. Last year we went out to eat, came home, my sister and her boyfriend went to bed, and my mom was like "I bought you a cake, I'm leaving to go gamble." and so it was just me and my boyfriend sitting on the couch, alone, it was really depressing. But it beats working on my birthday so that's nice. I am hoping my family plans a trip to the zoo for me because that's all I asked for and it's really all I want. I did the same thing like 4 years ago, it'll be hot as balls but it'll be worth it!

Well I'm 13 so I get about 20 presents, and I get a card with some money, and I get a nice cake, from our nanny

I haven't done anything for my birthdays since I was like 14 I guess, family comes over to eat sometimes, depends on if I already held my birthday together with my brothers (his is 13 days before mine) My mom always asks me what we should do for my birthday, but I don't want to do anything.
I'm 20, if that matters.

nothing really anymore, I just went for lunch with family for my last birthday, it really depends though.

Gorge out on pizza that's been delivered to my home from a restaurant of my choice. An entire large pizza is my dinner, dessert, as well as my breakfast and lunch for the day after my birthday.

i have a twin so we always celebrate us together. extended family comes over sometimes. last time it wasn't a very big thing, on our birthday we went out to eat and our grandma came over. then on the weekend my cousins, two of my uncles and my aunt came over and we ate some food lol.
haven't celebrated with friends for a long time. (although this year our friends made a surprise kinda thingy and prepared cookies and stuff for us around a month sfter our birthday. it was rly cute hahhh)

It's your birthday - it should be their job to amuse you!

I've known the user Meg-Mog on here since 1995. She's my best friend and she takes it upon herself to plan my birthday. This year we went out for dinner on my birthday and to a spa the next day. Last year she mailed me a gift as she knew we wouldn't be able to see each other (exams and I was packing up to move house single-handedly). The year before that she took me to see a Katy Perry concert. And so on and so forth. Some years are less elaborate of course and just involve cake, takeout, wine, and a few movies at home. (:

Hmm I pretty much have a normal day and then have something nice for dinner with my family (close family)

I just go out with my friends to eat and do other things, it's like a regular day but it still feels different. I'm not into heavy partying and I don't like crowded places but I love things like bbq gatherings and playing pool..
