If I have mail I'll check it if not I'll usually go straight to the bulletin board to see if there's any news like birthdays, events, or items on special at Nook's as my house is really close to town hall.

Honestly, it depends, if I have mail I will check it first. If I don't, I will go to nooks then to sables. Normally what I do... xD

Check mail, shake trees for bells/furniture, get magic rock, check Able Sisters along the way while I'm shaking trees, check Nooks, then check if anyone's gate is open.

Check mail, water all my flowers, find my money rock, check nooks/ables, pick and sell all of my fruit and go to the city to see if anything's new
