Today in Granada, I found out Grizzly is moving out. He's all packed up and ready to go. What do I do now?

Well if he has packed his things, you will be having to say goodbye to him unfortunately :(

You could always post on the villager trading subforum and see if anyone wants to adopt him?

If someone wants him and they have 9 or fewer villagers, they can come to your town and talk to Grizzly. They'll be able to invite him to move into their town. Otherwise, he'll be voided. Tomorrow, his house will be gone.

I did that and I've even opened up my town, but I have yet to get a single reply. I really don't want to void him. Other giveaways that started right after mine already have like 5-10 replies and 20-30 views, and I have NONE. If I have to void him, I'm going to be really pissed off.

you probably don't want to open your gates quite yet until you've gotten someone that wants him, as you can't add new FC's when your gates are opened. your giveaway thread has been up for less than half an hour, so you may just need to give it some more time :-) you have until 5:59 am tomorrow morning before he's voided, so that's plenty of time if someone's interested. unfortunately though, he's not super popular, so there's a chance you may have to void him. this happens even with super popular villagers too, it's just boils down to who's online. good luck!

Yes, but I can't help being jealous that people are ignoring me for the other newer giveaways even for other Tier 5 villagers. I feel like people are deliberately ignoring my post.

i understand, but just think -- what reason would anyone have to do so? most of us have specific dreamies we're looking for, and even certain T5's are more popular than others. just try not to take it personally; these are just pixel villagers, and there's a good chance that anyone interested in grizzly is either not online, or hasn't seen your thread yet. i've had T1 villagers like marshal, chief, rosie, etc not get a single response for hours and hours at a time. patience is key when you're selling/giving away villagers, no matter what tier they are c:

I know Grizzly is "bottom-of-the-barrel" in terms of popularity. Please don't get mad at me for saying this, but maybe I should just close my town gates and cancel the giveaway altogether. Now I feel depressed, I can't help it. I should probably resign myself to voiding.

i'm not mad at you at all, i completely understand your frustration! you can choose to do whatever you'd like, but i'd recommend closing your gates & turning off your DS for awhile. go do something else, even get off the forum for a little while. leave your thread up until you go to bed tonight, and before you do, check it again. by that point, more than enough time should have passed for people to see the thread. and if still no one has shown interest, you can either time travel backwards to keep him in boxes longer, or let him be voided. that's also your choice. but i always find walking away and doing something else rather than sitting and waiting for responses is much more helpful than getting aggravated and giving up too quickly!

But what if someone does show up? I'll miss the chance. Knowing my luck, the moment I shut off my 3DS someone will show up wanting him. I feel like I'm going to cry now. I don't know why. He's not even my most liked villager. This is the first time I'm going to lose a villager.

you can always check in every so often on your phone (which i do all the time), and even that is better than just sitting in front of your computer waiting. and if/when someone does, they won't expect an instant reply! this forum has hundreds of members and many in different time zones, so many of us actually expect to wait for a reply rather than get one right away. worst case scenario is that user is offline when you notice their post -- and then all you'd do is PM them and ask when they'd be able to pick him up. :-) and as i said before, if need be you can just TT backwards to keep him in boxes longer, that way he doesn't get voided.

I don't know why I'm getting so upset. Grizzly isn't even my most-liked villager in Granada. But the frustration is making me want to cry. This is the first time a villager is moving out in any of my three towns.

i felt the same way the first time one of my villagers moved out. new leaf was my first game, so i really didn't know how it all worked or that they could move out in the first place. and if you've had your town awhile, it's kind of sad to see one of your villagers leave since they've been around for so long. did you choose to let grizzly leave or was it a surprise when you found out he was moving?

I left Granada unplayed for only two days, while I was checking on Westerly and Croydon.

ah, gotcha. that's the usual reason people lose villagers, sadly. :c i also play three towns actively, and i have to dedicate at least fifteen to twenty minutes a day just to going through each town and making sure no one's leaving.
but there's a plus side to this. now you can get a new villager, someone you've never experienced before! in my first town, when i let coco move, i was miserable about it even though i had told her to go. but then i ended up finding lolly, who became one of my favorite villagers ever even three years later. is there any other villager you might be interested in after grizzly leaves? i have two cycling towns that i move through super fast, and i could work on getting you whoever you might like. here's a list of villagers you could look through too.

just remember though, no one is deliberately ignoring you at all. it's just that at this moment, there's no one around that wants him. it happens to all of us :-)

One person has replied, BUT they already have him. The ONE person who replied already HAS him in their village. :(

yes, i saw. :c but that's kind of a good thing, it goes to show there are people out there that like him. i'm sure you'll find someone, and if not, it's still okay. as i said, feel free to message me if you think of another villager you want and you can adopt them from me when i get them.

I've never entered someone else's friend code. How do I do that?
