What Did You Accomplish On Your Island Today?

That's definitely a YMMV thing. I tend to spread my villagers' houses around the map, maybe two or three sort of together, but that's because out in the real world I'm not a neighbor kinda person--I love elbow room. I do like putting houses on different levels too, like a high forest for certain animals, a swampy place for others, etc.

That's what I had originally, just trying to get advice for trying something new. I do want all my houses at least semi close, so I'll just keep doing what I'm doing (keeping houses close, but far away enough for a small walk and path space)

I did more things today!

Moving Abel Sisters!
Trying to get Genji to move out. Any tips to do it quick without time travel? I just want him gone so I can go dreamie hunting. (PLEASE STITCHES I NEED THISSSSS! MY ISLAND'S KINDA DREAMIE-LESSSSS...)
Getting all crops and fruit trees together is going well now that Frita's house isn't in the way lol.
Used my Amiibo for Toby today in the hotel, he's now in a very lovely fruit-themed room.

At least if you don't like it, it's all movable! And I hear ya on Stitches. He was the Lazy in Acre Wood when I went hunting for the normal, peppy, and lazy. Perhaps I'll run into him again one day.

I splurged on the Sanrio Amiibo cards when I found them on sale cheap.

Today:
(I've had a virus so this week and last have been the perfect time to get a new town started.)
Hippeaux was the hotel guest. I've been more concerned about getting 'to a point' in my game since restarting than much else and I'm almost there now. I have only one or two bridges and maybe one more incline to add, and am setting up the routing through all the different areas.

I paid off the 548,000-bell mortgage (I think this brings those storage shed thingies?). I made extra dives and the crabs were rather numerous and I caught three sea pigs. Then fishing I caught several deep-sea fangly fish. I had enough money left to move a villager house, put in a new ramp, send 60,000 to the ABD plus tossed a bunch of stuff in the box at the store. I also happened across a sturgeon so that's waiting for the museum to open back up tomorrow.

I went on the adventure with Kapp'n and landed on a vine island which was a nice break from the gray, snowy day at 'home'. I took all the shrubs, vines, and glowy stuff.

Also, I got out my trusty construction outfit and marked boundaries around my acre in the thoughts of putting in a small fruit orchard.

ETA: Because I forgot Flip decided today he wanted to head to greener pastures but I said, 'Ya know little dude, we just got here and we haven't even got all settled yet so sorry, not sorry you're stuck here for a while longer.'

I’ve decided to completely flatten my island and do a huge redesign, but it’s going to take a while! I have it all mapped out but there’s a few snags:

1. The Resetti service is pretty useless on my island because I don’t want to upgrade past the first house, so I don’t have enough storage for him to completely wipe my island
2. I have 10 inclines to get rid of and relocate, and 10 bridges to get rid of and relocate, but I don’t time travel, so that’s 20 days of just tearing them down before I relocate them!

But I’m persevering with it because I know it’ll be lovely when it’s finished - at the end of Feb probably 😅

♡ Invited Cyd to the campsite to begin the process of having him move in.
♥︎ Relocated Dobie’s house next to Lolly so I can start working on the exterior of their homes.
♡ Removed the trees and shrubs at the campsite entrance to rearrange the trees and plant orange & yellow olive starts.
♥︎ Began relocating my cafe to a new area so I can redesign it and improve the space.
♡ Decorated the cabin hotel room and happy with how it turned out.

Among all the other running to and fro I outlined a small orchard area and showed my son who's holding some fruit for me that it's ready *hint, hint, nudge, nudge*. Ordered another bridge, threw bells at Lloid, and set up the move for Kyle's house. I ripped out some trees and moved them elsewhere to make space for some sugar. Kapp'n took me to an ugly snowing island where I collected the odds and ends, including a gyroid and gyroid fragment. Then since I had it figured out I got this stupid urge to go villager hunting. Up Falls still needs a snooty. I spent something like eight tickets with no joy. I saw Puck. I saw Elvis. I saw Leo even. And Roswell. I really wanted to invite him but I have Kyle. Then I found Ursala, and Melba! I finally gave up (maybe I'll TT tomorrow and try again) but along the way I did get a whole lotta loot, including one bell rocks, and another full of bamboo. And I picked lots and lots of tulips for making tulip wreaths. Seeing as how that's our island flower every villager gets one ASAP.

Oh yeah, I forgot! Yuka was today's hotel guest. She was asking why the hotel chose that particular island to build on, was there something special or was it just the first island they came across? I'm pretty sure the second answer would be the right one. :giggle:

I… think I accidentally made my new map look a bit horse-like LOL

I love your PFP. Is that a clip from the new Tomodachi Life game ad?

Did some Nook Miles tasks and got to 140k! Moe finally asked to leave which means I'm going to have a very busy Tuesday 😅 Counting the tickets I have on hand I should be able to visit 82-83 islands. Here's hoping I find a cat I want 🤞

Today I removed some flowers on one of my hills and sold them at Nook’s Cranny. On top of that hill I have stalls where it looks like a farmer’s market. I am getting ready to build an incline soon. And today Dizzy stopped by my house! And I said hello to my new villager Apple! 😀

I visited my friend's island to wish on shooting stars. Then I invited my friend to my island let them pick up any extra DIYs that I had. They were pretty shocked when I spread out a bunch of extra DIYs on the beach.😅 (more than they expected.)

Then I went on a nook miles island hunt for stringfish, but even though I found the big fish island I just couldn't get it to spawn... I think I'll just have to get hundreds of fish bait and try to catch it on my island....😭 (and my friend caught a stringfish on their island today while I was watching...😭)

So I did, no doubt for added frustration, left my game on the day of yesterday for a couple of island tours and had no joy in finding a snooty villager. I forwarded to the next day and had a camper, first one since Kyle! I got to the tent and who was it? None other than Patty (yippy-aye-ay Cow Patty!) the peppy. This game has a higher percentage (or at least it used to) of the camper being of a missing personality. Anyway, I decided to travel with Kapp'n and we found another vine island. I collected vines and put most of them up around town in places without easy ramp access. Then I worked up the courage to go villager hunting again. I lost track of how many cute koalas I found, and Colton, and Roswell again. I'm down to 18,000 points left, spent over half of what I had plus everything I got today so unless it's still empty tomorrow and I chicken out this plot is getting a resident the old-fashioned way.

One of those islands, though, was the trash lake so I fished out lots of junk for crafting and finished my goldfish collection. (I do wish fish spawned on the home island that fast--that was some fun fishing) I have stacks of iron so am hoping soon there'll be a premium price for selling something made with it. I also caught a couple more sturgeon, and a marlin.

Oh, I also think maybe the last bridge is ready to be done tomorrow.

ETA: Here's my after-thought (there always is one, after all). I kept a spreadsheet with all my villagers in my other town. I didn't even remember but I didn't get a snooty until #10, when Bitty came into the campsite. I had three Lazies at that point. LOL

I haven't done much today, but I: Helped Gullivarr find his trusty communicator, I accidentally caught an oarfish whist not expecting it, I also got changed because it's snowing on my island tonight.
I also spoke to Cece, she's now fully integrated to my island. And she looked so cute with her beanie!

Caught a spider for the museum.

Laid out some more paths and realized I forgot to take into account a couple of things before plopping bridges.

Requested a move for Paula's house.

Oh, and the plot has an auto-fill moving in tomorrow: Robin! I haven't seen Robin for a very long time, probably not since CF. Robin and Paula will be neighbors.

Gave everyone gifts of foreign fruits and got some weird stuff in return.

Let's see. I also paid for Leif to come to the flea market and did enough diving to save a little toward the mortgage.

And it's Saturday in my game so I got Forest Life from K.K. Slider.

Today on Avalon -

Cleared the area where I will be placing most of the houses around the castle
Worked on placing paths
Crafted and ordered some items
Made a plan for villages houses
CJ is here is completed his seasports challenge of catching 5 fish
Then sold him a bunch of fish
Went fishing to try earn enough bells to pay off home loan getting halfway ther
Invited Lolly to the campsite and made her a terrarium

Today was my big island hopping escapade for a new villager! After 44 trips I finally found a cat villager: Merry! She's not in my top 10 but at least this gives me a chance to get her photo!

Here's a breakdown of the other island trips and notable villagers I saw:
4 x deer! Specifically Shino, Bam, Deirdre, and Fuchsia
4 x cubs!
3 x dogs, Cookie showed up twice, and also saw Shep
3 x mice
2 x hippo, rhino, chicken, goat, ostrich
2 x Vivian, 2x Tiffany
1 x kangaroo, croc, squirrel, koala, horse, bear, elephant, hamster, bird, eagle, penguin, tiger, duck, monkey

My first cat encounter was actually Moe who JUST left my island smh. Also very surprised there were no octopuses!

I love Shep! I think Merry's a nice villager, it's nice you had enough tickets to seek out a cat!

I went to put in the bridge to replace the one I tore out and Agnes' house was in the way, so I did a rush job on moving it so I could get the bridge started.

Chip was in town so I caught the three 'small fry' and gave him sturgeon for a model, plus sold him one sturgeon and a few odds and ends. I also caught a tuna but decided to hang onto it (museum already has one). Oh, and a stringfish! I was up on the top just looking for dig spots and stuff when there was a big shadow in the water and as it turned out the museum now has a new resident.

Paid for Reese and Cyrus a spot at the flea market.

I had done up another room in the hotel the other day and one of the visitors today was Maple. She's so cute!

Everyone got a round of gifts, and off to a good start with Robin as she had a lost bag returned to her.

Oh yeah, hot item was a garden chair so I made up and sold a couple dozen of those, managed to use up about half of my hoarded iron.
