What Did You Accomplish On Your Island Today?

I wasn't able to do a lot the last couple of days. I did shoot down a couple of the cherry blossom cards and ordered some stuff from the catalog. I also have realized that most of the lag in my game is around areas where I've added waterfalls so I need to rethink some of that.

Frita handed over her photo and Chadder was generous enough to give me a second. (Lucky me! LOL)

I finally got the last cherry card and made all the furniture and put it in the basement. I didn't feel real ambitious so I thought, 'oh hey, how about I TT to see if I can get Chadder or Frita on their way? It was near four o'clock so I thought it'd be a waste of time but IF anyone showed up at the campsite at least that would be one more potential villager eliminated. So I went through a few days, don't recall just how many, although almost all the project cards I found were duplicates to what I already had, and finally Isabelle announced a camper. I got there and what do you know, it was Stitches! Stitches was in my last save and I was hoping on getting him at some point but did not expect him already. Anyway, I couldn't pass that up and although it took me a few tries to convince him to move in, once I did the very first villager chosen to move was Chadder. So Stitches is UpFalls' newest comer.

Alright, two things I gone done today. First, I helped another lost tourist. This time it was Merengue. I designed a Birthday-Party themed VIP room for her to stay in! A very merry un-birthday to her! 🎂🎁

And second, I added some henge fencing to my park. That is something my park was missing! I looks more complete now! Maybe I might add a tree or two at some point as well if I can fit them in.

Also, I now have two ideas that popped into my head as I was playing tonight! One for a campsite relocation and theme and the other for the arrangement of the villagers', mine and my brother's houses (he was the one who started the island that's now mine, so his old house is still here, not that I'm upset about that or anything). I'll have to get cracking on those at some point soon!

Fishing tourney: I was a little out of practice (like years' worth) but after a few tries I was hitting 10 fish per trip and topped 100 points (that was a LOT of clams!). Beyond that I thought about remodeling some of the hotel rooms and took a look and chickened out and just took better pictures of them.

I've gotten a headstart on my campsite project! I'm starting with a layer of land I made via terraforming. I'm thinking of making a mini mountain with the campsite on it. I also want it to have some camp themed items to match the campsite, cedar trees, potentially a river and/or pond, items made from glowing moss and/or vines, glowing moss patches to decorate the mountain, vines and vine ladders to climb the mountain with and perhaps a little stargazing area with celestial and/space themed items on the summit. And unlike the central area of the island, which is more symmetrical, I want this mountain to be a little more asymmetrical. It will still have some structure, but I want it to be a little more organic in appearance. And I've got a ramp set up and ready to go for tomorrow! I plan to set up another one tomorrow too. Can't wait for this segment of the island to be finished!

On the topic of making tools, which I still have a long way to go on that one, I've been waiting until I get couple hundred or so sticks (I got in a habit while playing Minecraft to collect everything I came across) then pretty much filling my inventory with said tool and selling them to Nook. The iron-enforced tools count double seeing as how first you make the flimsy version then the upgraded one.

It felt good today not to be having all those pink leaves raining down everywhere, like in-game was just a comfortably lulling place to be. I put in a move order for Stitches' house to go to the beach while I move Chai's out of where it is because that will be Stitches' permanent home. I worked on toning down some of the lag in a couple of areas. I'm hoping that eliminating at least a little of the moving water will help. There's an area that has the clothes shop with three houses behind it and for whatever reason the game likes to stutter there. I also put in an order to demolish a bridge that's been bugging me since I placed it months back. I don't have plans to terraform a lot but the river there needs help before a bridge can go back.

I also got Tucker's photo today, as well as another one from Fuchsia. Tucker is now in line with Frita to leave UpFalls, whenever that occurs. I think I need to make him a vacation home first, though.

I took Tucker to the island paradise and he got his archaeology dig. Then I meandered around to see if I could find someone who'd make a good and easy roomie for someone and discovered Cyrano wanted a construction site so moved him in with Boyd, added a second floor for a bit of living quarters.

I fixed the river and ordered and paid off the bridge, plus worked some on fixing the water in places.

I had Pecan for a hotel visitor--she's so adorable!

You know what would be a really wonderful improvement for catalog shopping, would be to see pictures like when taking stuff out of storage. I can't remember what things are called and trying to scroll down that alphabetized list, well, it just gets longer by the day and within short order I can't even remember what I was after to begin with.

Okay, it's starting to look like I'm talking to myself--I hope I haven't driven everyone else off.

Final fossil--a shark tooth! made it to the museum today. Also maxxed 'true patron of the arts' milestone having made 20 purchases from Redd.

I did the private dining area for the restaurant in HHP, and found Rosie wanting a vacation home so moved her in with Cookie, seeing how their goals are so close (Cookie has a pop star cafe and Rosie wanted her 'very own talent agency' so the cafe is outside, kitchen and small living quarters for Cookie on first floor, and Rosie's talent agency with small sleeping area is upstairs.

Then I found Agnes (and this is how I always end up spending way too much time there and neglecting my island duties) and she wanted the artsiest museum, so she has the most beautiful indoor single floor museum I could manage with exhibits of every kind of bathtub, toilet, and shower in the game. (It actually turned out pretty well.)

High key really jealous :P This is one of the achievements I'm still working on but not actively. I don't think I have hit 1,000 yet pray for me 😭
At least with the new update, you can do 10 at a time! That's the only way I'm getting through this so quickly! Best of luck to you!

Honestly, now that you've reminded me of it, I should try to complete this goal at some point soon. Especially since now we can donate craftable items to the hotel to get tickets to buy new items added in the recent update.
Best of luck to you!

I am now onto 1,500/3,000 crafted tools.

I've been working on it for the past few days, but I've made excellent progress on my new campsite cliffside/mountain area! The ramp has been built and the campsite has been relocated. A couple days ago, I completed the forest area with moss, vine, mushroom and ruined items and the path leading to it. And today, I finished the campfire site near the relocated campsite. I also modified the park I made recently by adding a few more items and adding more stalls, these ones offering both free DIY and food recipes I don't need, so visitors who are missing the recipes can unlock them. Yep, I've been pretty busy recently. Hopefully, that stargazing area and pond/river I also have in mind both come to pass too!

I've been trying to clean up and fixing an area with a large pond and small island in the center, plus fiddling to make the swampy area swampier. I went to the vacation island and found Nate so built him a vacation home. I can't say I'm thrilled with it but I'd already spent more time than I wanted there.

A char and snapping turtle made it to the museum today. Oh, Wisp was in town--gave me a pair of boots. Yay Wisp.

ETA: Also got the last tuna I needed for a model.

For the past couple of days, I've been working on my island's new campsite mountain! In fact, I'm pretty much finished with it! I might make some touch ups, but on the whole, it's complete. And yes, I was able to make both a river/pond to fish in and a stargazing perch with space-themed items galore! If there's a will, there's a way indeed! Now I should working on other areas of the island. Namely, a place to put all the houses. A neighborhood for the villagers and I to live in! That would be nice! I should also make a new location for my crops, fruit trees and bamboo plants.

Not a lot really as I had real world errands but did finally get Leopold extracted from Azalea's vacation home and into his own. I also made a very blue house for Jeremiah. I've been saving the small fossils since they make a very quick and easy gift so that's what all the villagers got today.

Oh! And I really like the hotel if for no other reason than I get to occasionally reconnect with old villagers. Today Agnes, Chrissy, and Hamphrey all made an appearance! I happened across Hamphrey at the airport on my way to the vacation island so I did do him up a quick VIP room.

Yesterday I mainly went back and redid some of the outsides of the vacation homes because that was one of those things that I forgot all about then started wondering later.

Today I mainly sorted and inventoried my gyroids, recoloring some to complete their sets, put a few 'round town and sold off several. Doing those pushed me up to maxxing out the refurbisher achievement. It was not a good day for new plans--I finally found one on the vacation island, the ruined arch compliments of Marcie. Next time she shows up on the island wanting her vacation home built I'm going to feel obligated to do up her day care.

Grizzly rolled a bubble for moving out. I'm well over a week since Stitches moved in and need someone to go, but not Grizzly so I closed out without saving then later ignored the bubble as I finished what I needed to do. Maybe tomorrow the bubble will land on someone I'm ready to have leave.
