Isn't that just a part of a country? (UK, Great Britain)
I prefer to refer to England with it's proper name, United Kingdom is just the name for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as a collective. Great Britain is just a posh name for England.

Wales! If you know where that is!
I know!!! Its where they now make Doctor Who, Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood, but apart from that it looks cool, peaceful countryside...after London I'm gonna live there!

Great Britain = England, Scotland and Wales
United Kingdom = England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Oh and I'll just say that I live in the UK.

Huh?
Let's not get started on this.
Oh right, just realized.
You realised that only Northern Ireland is in the UK, not the whole of Ireland?

The name refers to the union of what were once four separate nations: England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland (though most of Ireland is now independent. Only Northern Ireland is part of the UK now).

One of my friends moved to Australia last year, I haven't heard from her at all...

Remember when I said, 'Let's not get into this' Yeah, me too.

And I'm well aware of the politics of my country, a tenfold more than you are of your in own, if it's comparable to your ability to understand subtle nuances in dialogue.

Keep this in mind next time you're about to make a political statement comparable to one you'd expect from an average 7 year old.
