What areas of your town get the most villager traffic?

hrrmm..my guys are pretty non-social, lol... When it comes to each other, anyway. They almost always seem to be really spread apart.
But, I'd say the place I probably run into villagers the most is over by the Re-tail shop. It's right by the river, a bridge, and the town bell + a yellow bench (though no one ever seems to sit there anymore >:0 ) Just a lot of hot spots I guess xP

I don't do the whole plot resetting but somehow, a lot of my villagers ended up at the strip of land at my town's bottom? And they all congregate around there. The bridge and near their houses. It's so weird, some villagers just don't seem to stray that much from their house at all, while some, like my Deirdre goes all over town, really fast. Must be some programming thing...

Most of my villagers live near town hall and a fountain that is directly down from it. So they mostly congregate around there. It's a cute area, so I don't mind. I added a bench and a bus stop in the same area so I hope they will go around them too
My town plaza sees the most traffic with two or three villagers there, sometimes four. I can usually find someone near Re-Tail and someone else between the fountain and lighthouse area. Occasionally someone will be on the far east beach corner near my dock. c:

They don't tend to wander far from their houses unless you are out for quite a long time. I do notice that they will gravitate towards the centre of the map but im not sure if that is random or part of the programming, they always seem to head towards bridges as well. in one of my towns the centre of the map is a river and makes it awkward for them to congregate, so they kind of shuffle about the centre area's until they hit a bridge, cross over and go back to the centre again.. In another town the centre of the map is a big long island and that is where they always go.
My lot congregate around the bottom two bridges, I expect because they're chokepoints. The third bridge is a bit out-of-the-way; Gayle and Rudy are the nearest to it so they tend to show up there, but for the others the bottom bridge is closer so that seems to be where they gravitate to. I often find a bit of a traffic jam on the bridge near my house since Marshal, Quillson and Walt all live about equidistant to it and all end up trying to use it at the same time.
I have retail, the plaza and town hall in a sort of backwards L on the right go my map with most of my villager houses clustered around them. That's where I'll usually find the most villagers. The area around retail most of all, but certain villagers seem more likely to hang out around town hall and the plaza
I'd say that it varies depending on the time of day. My villagers tend to hang out right next to my house where there's a field of flowers and a playground - if not there then the plaza. Margie's always in the perfect-apple-tree forest by her house (she falls asleep on the tree stubs, which is super cute)
Benjamin is always falling asleep on stumps all over town <3 I wanna make a stump near his house too so he doesn't have to walk far to take a nap
My mayor's house is pretty isolated from the rest of my villagers (on the far left on the south side of town), except for Benjamin, who lives right next door to me :3 They never come to that side really. They usually hang around the cafe or town hall which are both on north side of town above the river (my river cuts my town in half pretty much). Fang, Kabuki, and Shari live next to Town Hall and the cafe is a few walks away... and Dizzy, Fauna, and Genji live in that area. The south side of the town where Re-Tail is located is pretty empty though. Maple is the only one who lives there. Sometimes Fauna, Genji, and Dizzy hang around the bridge there near my picnic area but I've actually never seen Kabuki or Fang stray far from their area.

At the first bridge
I have a river that essentially splits my town in half horizontally, and my villagers are ALWAYS on the bottom half. Sometimes there will be two or three of them at once wandering around the plaza, but they usually stay towards the center. They also like to congregate near clusters of houses, regardless of whether or not it's their own.
They mostly hang around at the bottom portion of the map where a majority of the houses are. It's not uncommon when I load up my file to find a villager walking by my house since it's so open. I like to think Phoebe plotted her house on the other side of the river to get away from her neighbors, lol.
