What are your predictions for the next Animal Crossing game?

I’m obviously expecting a new species since there’s been a pattern

I don’t know what the next game will have in store. Except that we will likely have terraforming, custom placement of buildings and scenery, and more interior design features.

I expect unmet unrealistic expectations and disappointment by a subset of the animal crossing fanbase

I am trying to not expect anything considering how disappointed I was with New Horizons. I’m worried that considering how successful New Horizons was, they’ll think that the quality of what they delivered would be acceptable again. I am sure that they are aware of how dissatisfied a large amount of people are with the final product, but will they do anything about it?

I’m pretty confident we’ll be able to place/rotate things to face diagonally.

I’ll be happy if there’s any new interaction/activity with your villagers. Just watching them exist has its limits.
