Since After This September; Pocket Camp Complete Will no longer recieve new updates; and New Horizons is the #2 Best-selling Switch game of all Time(2nd Only to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe);

I Feel like a Brand New Animal Crossing Game for the NS2 is Inevitable

So If AND/OR Whenever Nintendo decides to release a Brand New Animal Crossing Game for the NS2; What do You Guys want to see added to the game;

Here's some things I would want from a Brand New AC Game for NS2:

1. Bring back Wolf Link as an Amiibo Villager you can add to your Village/Town/Island/

2. Bring Back the Mii Masks[I'd Really love to be able to use my Mii to represent myself in the game(like I did back when I had City Folk)]

3. Fully Upgradable Nookling/Nook Shop[It's a shame we never could get any upgrades past the T&T Mart-esque Nook's Cranny Upgrade in ACNH]

4. the ability to add More than 10 Villagers

So If Nintendo DOES Decide to make a New Animal Crossing Game for the NS2; What would YOU want from a New AC Game?!

I'll be so happy to see a new Animal Crossing that I probably won't even care about the specifics. I hope the development team put as much care into the new game as they did into ACNH. I'd like QOL improvements like multiple crafting. I'd like more gothic looking furniture. More house styles. But mostly I'd like them to not make us wait too long.

Fully upgradeable Nook shops would be great! I also want ALL the furniture from previous games to return, including their customizations, and I want better multiplayer.. mini games or something fun.

And now that I think of it, I think more critters to catch would be cool, too. Diving critters preferably

Real multiplayer and a real sense of progression are what I would like to see most. Like shops actually coming and being built after you hit certain requirements. We kind of got that in NH, but it stopped too early.

There are quite a few things I'd like to see:
  • A game with the PoV and sense of scale of the Mario Kart 8 track.
  • More varied weather: Allow fog to happen all day long. Have snow be possible in late October/early November in addition to raid, allow rain in winter, and some late season snow in early Spring.
  • Nocturnal villagers such as bats and opossums.
  • Night shops, such as a convenience store that sells some of the Nook shop items after hours.
  • A revamp of crafting to make it so only some items and tools can be crafted, instead of nearly everything. It'd be good to have only some small DIY furniture that can be customized while leaving the rest like it was in previous games.
  • More micro-holidays like the Sports Festival from the GCN game.
  • Seeing more of the NPCs in town. Example: It'd be cool to see the Nooklings walking around town before the store opens or after it closes.

Anything that makes it better than NH. Most of what I'd like to see was already answered in the previous posts. NH is pretty dead to me atm. The S2 AC needs to revive my interest. Other than Zelda, its the only franchise I'm interested in thats left for me if I want to get a S2 (which isn't happening this year)

Nocturnal Animals sounds cool;

That way if you're a Night Owl; You can interact with these villagers while the Diurnal/ Villagers that are awake during the day are asleep; while they sleep during the day while the Daytime Villagers are awake

I like many of the things that were mentioned in this thread, especially Ossiran's idea of seeing more of the NPCs in town. My personal wishlist includes:
  • Being able to play hourly music from past games;
  • Having Gracie and her furniture back;
  • More engaging dialogue;
  • A more varied day/night cycle, by which I mean the ability to select a day/night cycle pattern that more closely resembles the one from where you are located (right now, it only changes slightly depending on the season and it feels weird to me to play the game during the day but the sun has set already in-game).

These are the ones from the top of my head. Of course, I would also like to see a full shop expansion like you suggested in your poll.
