what are some good ways to make good friends through ac?

sorry this is probably my 3rd thread today i'm not sure if it's looked down upon to start many threads lmao.
but i keep thinking, about opening my island and letting people in for fun. many people have made good friends through the game, but how did you go about doing it? i wanna get the most out of my game, and making new connections is at the top of my list of to-dos

you could post in the airport that you’re seeking people to play with - people will usually send you their friend code and then ya’ll can arrange a time to meet! while i’ve never done that, i do a lot of trading on here and while i don’t play with anyone besides from that, i’ve made a lot of good friends that way ;u;
