So I had a sudden urge to go see what Valentines Day was like, since I didn't get my ACNL until after the holiday was long gone. I time-traveled back to 2015's Valentines Day, but guess what? There was a Fishing Tourney happening that day! And Isabelle didn't mention the holiday AT ALL. I have almost every villager living in my town's picture, but the only letter I got mentioning what I was coming for was from Fang. ;u; Even Wolfgang (Who I thought I had the highest friendship with, since he was one of my starting villagers) and Chief didn't send me anything. I even had accidentally given Fang a rotten apple once! So I decided maybe the Fishing Tourney was the reason for the lack of letters, so I went back to 2014's. Isabelle mentioned it, but I only got ONE letter. Guess who sent it? Yup. Fang.

Fang must really like my character, or I did something to my other wolf baes to make them not want to give me some chocolate or rare flower. TvT Now I gotta go day by day to return to the real date. Hahahaha... ohhh boy. This will be fun.

Well, if you get a ping from a villager asking to move and you deny them, you could skip all the way back to present day in one go but Idk if your town would be covered in weeds or not. And you would prob lose your friendship with your villagers after being gone for almost 2 years in-game. I'm so tempted to do this with April Fool's Day so I can hurry up and get my villagers' pics but I also like to be surprised when they randomly give it to me so Idk

I would hate if I had TTed to two years ago and had to TT to get back to the current date. Especially because I have lots of flowers around my town. It takes me at least 10 minutes a day just to water them all. 10 minutes might not sound like much, but it would be if I had to water them all, TT to the next day, water them again and so on for two in-game years... And that's just to water my flowers. >_<

That's why most people have the Beautiful Town Ordinance.

Time Travel can always be a bit finicky. I've had experiences doing haphazard time travel, and henceforth I've never done it again

You should follow the advice people are giving and activate the beautiful town ordinance and skip once you denied a villager from moving, the only downside is that your friendship with those villagers might reset and you'll get bedhead.

I think you should deny a villager moving, skip to 4 days later, deny someone again and continue the process. I personally dont travel for more than 2 days unless i want to move someone out. and yup, activate the beautiful town ordinance if you dont want all ur flowers to wither and die. probably the good thing about this is that ull get some weeds to pull...

they can just deny a moving request and immediately tt to current time. no need for the 4 days thing

Thanks for the advice everyone! I actually do have Beautiful Town Ordinance in effect, even before I had TTed back.

I have a lot of spare time during the weekend, so I might as well do it the most safest way and TT two days forward. It'll be slow, but at least I'll have more of a net just in case a villager says they're gonna move. It'll be painful, but at least I'll be able to still have a good friendship and not have my town be in ruins. xD
