Earlier tonight I adopted a villager from another member on the site. A few minutes ago (maybe two hours since adopting), Skype pinged me about moving out. I thought those two things couldn't happen at the same time? (moving out and moving in) Or is it because the villager I had adopted doesn't have a plot down yet? I just found it odd since I thought a move-in would cancel a move-out anyway, since there is that 5 day-ish window.

And yeah it could happen moving someone in doesn't break for one to move out

I certainly didn't know that but that's cool! I have personally never experienced it myself but yeah I think it's because the plot of land wasn't there yet. Is it possible for someone to ping to move on the same exact day they move in?

what's the 10 day window? is it when you decline a villagers request to move out or am i confused

There is (or was, now?) a 5 day window when a villager moves in or out that another wouldn't ping you to move.
So if someone just moves in or not, you wouldn't get a request within those 5 days from anyone else. Didn't know it was increased to 10.

Yeah it was increased to 10 days now
Because on the second day of the update
My Shari asked to move and it was at the 10-15 one of those numbers
So I counted the days and it was 10 days from that moment
And it happened again with an animal from purely and it was 10 day when they will be on boxes (well if told them yes but nope the will stay forever)

Don't think that's true. I had Mott move in two days ago and the first day he was out of boxes I was pinged by Vladimir to move out.

Hmm. Ah well. It's one of those confusing mechanics of the game. Moving in and moving out has always been a somewhat baffling thing for me. There have been times where I adopted someone and their plot didn't show for days. Nerve wracking haha

The change from 5 days to 10 is to do with when they will move. The date they told you (which would be the date when they're in boxes) used to be 5 days away, now it's 10 days away.
