I've never had any grand illusions about having a super town full of paths, greenery and artistry, lol. I think the players who do that are some of the most talented, creative and dedicated people ever. Not me, though. I have always been intensely and creatively bankrupt when it comes to the talent it takes to lay down that sort of fantasy town. That said, I am done with my town. It works for me and personally, I love it. My villagers are happy and that is what matters most. I'm proud of what I accomplished and hope that anyone who dreams a dream of Cocoplum will leave with a smile.

So... are you an organic farmer or a fanciful creator? What were your dreams for your town and did you attain them?

oh thats wonderful! I will definitely visit soon! I however am a fantasy creator... I remember in the early games I never go do paths because I couldn't make them! and there was no QR scanner at the time, so once I became able to rip off others' designs I knew I would use paths from then on

I'm super proud of how Riften is coming along.. now that I have Vic.... I can get it to another good point, but the DA in my sig still looks pretty good!

funny enough, when i first joined in on the online acnl community, i had a similar mindset. i didn't know how people managed to put in all the effort they do with paths and landscaping and perfecting their towns to that extent, so i decided i would just finish my town my way. but i guess as i kept playing, i wasn't rly happy with just that, so i gave paths a shot and really got into the hybrid breeding/landscaping aspect. i also started putting in a lot of thought when it came to pwp placement too (though it took a lot more misses than hits before i was finally satisfied).

at first, i was an organic farmer, but now i'm more of a fanciful creator i guess :) not to be cheesy but, yeah, all that matters is that you're having fun with the game.

Congrats on finishing your town! :D I keep switching back and forth, I don't know if I want paths or to just leave it plain/with flowers and trees. I know I've got some really fancy flower design going on here right now. :p I spent like 2 hours last night just arranging flowers; it can be such a pain sometimes, but the outcome is always worth it.

I'm kind of going for a fairytale theme now, but I don't have the bench or bridge. I have the train station, town hall, and street light though. I'm matching my path colours with the flower colours, but I don't know if I like it. >.< I always change/kick up my paths within a week of putting them down! I can't decide.

I never used paths because I didn't know that you could use designs and lay them down as paths. I wish I had known that, my town would've been so much prettier! That is, if I were able to work the pattern making thing...

My town is just a forest. Lots of cedar trees and no paths or patterns. I used more "natural" PWPs like the hammock, log bench, etc...

I'd love to see your town sometime!

That sounds so cute!!

I'm a fanciful creator! I didn't really have a dream or plan of what I wanted my town to look like. I just put stuff wherever they look good. My town turned out pretty well just doing that.

The only plans I have are adding a few PWP's and replacing all the regular trees with pine trees

Well, I have 5 towns and they're nicely decorated, but also a bit simple. I have had a lot of people tell me how nice my towns are, but a few have given some not very nice reviews. My favorite thing is trying to create really unique rooms in my houses. Once again, people really like them or have really nit picked them to death. Those kinds of comments used to bother me, but not anymore. What's important is that I like them.

I'll try to visit your town tonight. I'm sure it's very lovely.

I can't imagine talking down anyone's town! What sort of jerk does that? Internet...I have already visited Town of JOY and it is remarkable! I think my favorite part was the witching area, being that I am a practicing witch :) I will visit Farmland next! If you do happen to visit Cocoplum, please enjoy your stay!

Town of Cocoplum.

Oh my. Those cherry blossoms really look beautiful. I love the camp area. That circle of cherry blossoms look cool, and the different colored paths look nice. It's such a unique town. It's simple but nicely decorated. I had so much fun exploring, because I never knew what neat little area I would run into.

Doll's house- That is such a cute idea. ( A dolls house. Lol. ) I love the main room. The upstairs is absolutely perfect. I love it.

Olive's house- I love the cabin furniture. They've always been my favorite. The toys around the Christmas tree looks so cute. WOW. Nice basement. OMG. I love the colors in the left room. The right room is fantasic. What a fun house to explore. I may have to make a room someday with the patchwork furniture in those colors.

Crows house- Nice house, and that back room is super awesome.

I had such a lovely visit. I spent so much time exploring, and I didn't want to leave. Great job.

I'm more of a creator, I used to just play AC how I liked it before, but I became really unhappy with my town and so I started working on it, and now it's complete (for Tenshi at least) :) I'm currently working on my second town and hopefully it will turn out really well, but I haven't had time to play AC recently :c

I'm pretty relaxed about it. I'm happy for those who are able to excel in making their town look amazing and I love to visit other towns in dream suite, but honestly, I know my town will likely never look like that and I'm content with it. I'm starting to get more involved in making paths and cutting down trees and planting flowers strategically and putting PWP's in good places. But, really, I'm okay with taking it slow/one day at a time.

I'm really careful to not make the game feel like a job. If I were to really stress about putting things in the right places and making my town look really great, I would probably feel stressed out and, then, it wouldn't really feel like I was playing a game anymore.
