I have found a good map, and have a decent starting Line-Up:

Good Starters:
Cesar
Bud

Other starters:
Mint
Pippy
Bettina

I will only be keeping Cesar and Bud until I get their pics. Even though I like them.

I started with the BEST fruit in the game, Cherries! Plus I got the red Train Station roof.

Now to Plot Reset for Mira, Ken, and Tucker/Stitches. As well as the extra move in.

Plot restting now. First plot belonged to Ken. Alright, that is a sign I am going to have good luck with plot resetting since I got such a good first plot!

Uh, oh....I have tried 6 times...and so far the plot has been for Ken EVERYTIME....if this is the case. I might have to get Julian in Neo Mercury. Hope this is just a coincidence.

I am planning on getting him in Neo Mercury. But if he ends up taking the spot in Tartarus, I will have to switch him with Julian, and get Julian in Neo Mercury....then again...that wouldn't be to bad...I have the other 2 mythical creature villagers (Drago, and Phoebe) there...

The plot is in different places each time, so yes. I havn't gone anywhere, so it can't be a streetpass.....could it be a spot pass?

Then it sounds weird! I don't really know that much about spot pass, but if I were you, I would keep trying to get someone else!

When a new plot is going to appear, you can create a new character, and look around town. If you like the villager you can go though the process of building the tent, and being able to save with that character, you can basicly CHOOSE your random move-ins!
