Weirdest thing just happened...

So my final non-rabbit villager (spork) pinged me today saying he was moving. But when I said "ok bye" instead of saying goodbye back he was like "oh no i cant leave now, thats it im staying" WTF! NO! Dont stay leave!!!!
Why did this happen!?!?!?
I said BYE that means he's suppose to go right?!

I've seen somewhere that sometimes they don't leave when you tell them you dont want them to stay anymore but.. idk its never happened to me

Thats the weird thing, we were good friends. I talked to him everyday.

If you haven't saved yet, you can shut down the game without saving, and then this time when that villager pings you, ignore them. They will still move out.

Ah see that would be a great idea, but I got to much stuff done, like caught new fish and bugs so Im not willing to lose all that. But ill keep that in mind for next time. Thanks

They do that quite a bit to me, especially when I'm cycling.

It's a thing they do so no need to be alarmed

That happens to me pretty often. I think it has something to do with the villager type and how strong your friendship is. Also, if someone pings to move and I want them out, I immediately TT to moving day. Doesn't give them time to change their mind
