I think the 'C' in your 'Iron C' nickname is supposed to be the first letter of your character name. Jock villagers will do the same with the word vitamin, for example 'Vitamin M' and I do like that (But Lyman is calling me Maximum, and I kinda like that too from him lol)

I can't remember who, but two villagers call me "tulip" now.
In ACNL someone asked to call me "Big O" (my character's name was Olive), or something similar, and it reminded me of a joke from Dharma and Greg and... umm, it made me uncomfortable
If I remember right, that was the first time I said no, and that's when I learned you can suggest your own nickname! Most villagers on my island call me my custom nickname, kit-kat, which I thought was cute since my character's name is "Cat".

I always regretted telling Knox not to call me pup.
Story time for my weirdest nickname: Sterling wanted to give me a nickname one night. Feeling silly at the time, I tell him to call me MAH BOI (zelda cdi cracks me up). A day later, Audie asks me if she can call me MAH BOI. I politely refuse. A day later, she asks again. I refuse again. Over two weeks, I get overwhelmed with requests to call me MAH BOI. I wanted them to give me another prompt (so I could finally be called Pup)! Eventually I give up and let a few call me MAH BOI. EVENTUALLY, patient zero comes up to me saying my nickname is stale, so I quickly let him call me pup. Thankfully, this nickname also spreads like wildfire, so almost every villager calls my pup (with a couple calling me gardener).
IRL my brother jokingly calls me stinky for some reason (even if I showered recently)

none of my villagers call me anything too strange, I think there's been Hero, Butterbean, and Tulip as far as I can remember.

the first nickname i got was 'butterbean' from one of my normal villagers and i was like, okay thats cute enough. i dig it.
and then biff asked to call me "iron e" and i just had to say yes bc he was so proud but oh god the name is awful and then a bunch of villagers asked to call me iron e too, so....

I think the weirdest so far for me is wonder bud given to me by Drago.
Tank gave me the nickname Iron M. Luckily it’s since been replacedAntonio wanted to give me the nickname "Iron C" and since I love him so much I couldn't refuse
