Weird Orange Tree?!?!

So this morning I was playing ACNL just minding my own business, catching some cicadas as you do in summer.
And then suddenly I went past an orange tree and it only had one orange on it.

(Sorry that it's pretty small, I had a lot of confusion and trouble trying to attach the picture not too big.)

But anyway, I have no idea what happened. Is this a glitch or something? Bc right now the orange tree has two more again and it's normal like before. And in the morning it was raining, too. Is that something to do with it? There were no oranges on the ground or anything.
Am I missing something obvious, bc I'm a bit tired and not really thinking straight...
I'm just curious about what happened.

It's a glitch. I'm not exactly sure what causes it, but I've had that before in my old town.

It's just a glitch. c: I posted a thread like this one a while back because it had happened with one of my apple trees. If you shake it, all three fruits will pop up again.
It's happened to me twice since I got my town, and it isn't anything bad. Just a bug the producers didn't notice or fix.

If you shake it, all three fruits will pop up again.

I've had it happen in multiple towns. Every time, it kind of surprises me.

I've never had it happen - I think it would freak me out, especially if one day I get my golden shovel and manage to make a money tree!

Surprised me so much! Casually walking past with my net and suddenly I noticed something different on this cluster of trees I have. I went closer & I freaked out. I thought it was something that I had done, because a couple of days before I'd dropped my 3DS accidentally with ACNL playing. But thanks guys, ik what to do now and I hope it doesn't happen again, bc it's pretty weird xD
