Weeding Badge

so im on a mission to getting all my badges, ii just completed my entire Encyclopedia so ii got my fish/bug/deep sea badges..

on to the Weeding Badge..

so ii thought about TT and what-not to every other few days and so forth til ii can get back to real time, will that produce weeds if ii take off the Beautiful Town ordiance?

also..... ii picked up ALL my flowers, and stored them, there was like 1000 hahahah.. anywho, theres so plain ones ii dont really care for, on the beach, if ii take off the Beautiful Town Ordiance will those flowers on the beach be destroyed or anything?

is there any other way to get the Weeding Badge faster than what ii plan to do?

Good luck with the streetpass badge. If you can manage to pull a load of weeds a someone else's town, when Leif is out napping, or on Weeding Day, you could get a nice flower themed furniture item.

I also assume the flowers on the beach will wilt and die.

Congratulations! Completing Encyclopedia is a big work, I'm still on the halfway even after playing for 5 years. ^^;

Regarding your question, if you mean Gold Weeding Badge, time travelling every other few days must be a too much of work unless you don't mind letting any villagers in your town go because as you may know, the system decides who to leave/stay when you load the game, and the weeds grow in portion to days. From my experience, the best way is to repeat jumping to a year later. It will give you around 60 weeds. Still, it's a hard work to get the Gold Badge considering how many weeds you need to pluck;

Also, yes the flowers will die when you take off the Beautiful Town Ordiance.

ah gotchya.. yea a year may be too risky.. :/ ii dont mind the TT bht ii guess in order to get alot of Weeds, every so often while trying to not let anyone go will be bad.. unless ii buy another game and do it there then my Mator can go over and pick those lmao.. bht thank you!

Actually, regardless if it's a year or 100 years, it doesn't risk you losing your folks. Once you prevent someone to move out that day and save the game, you can go however long ahead and no one moves out the next time you load your town.
I sometimes open weeding event for that badge. I'll let you know when I do it next time. Good luck however!

I completed my weeding badges with a spare copy.
I did the year jump and got some weeds.
Found that it was better to jump a month at a time and clean up the fossils/gyroids. During that time if Leif was sleeping in the town I would wake him up and check the amount. For the wilted flowers my real towns dropped by and pulled those. Wilted flowers count as weeds.
Repeated a month at a time until I reached a year. Some say to time travel 2 weeks to 1 month at a time for more weeds. Found there were more weeds than doing a one year jump. Leif will be sleeping when 50 weeds are growing in town. With a month or 2 I had Leif sleeping outside.

I've completed 7 players weeding badges.
During that time you can buy artwork, get an extra golden axe when you buy trees in the 2nd town and get missing fossils.

I've never time travel in my real towns to grow weeds. The flowers on the beach can disappear if you don't water them.
If you water the regular flowers on the beach and just time travel 2 days some can still be there. If they are wilted you can water them to bring them back or pull them to count as weeds.
This would be a good time to make golden roses if you have a golden watering can. I've time travel in my spare town and it can take days for regular red rose to wilt. I did day to day and some took 7 days to wilt. Once they wilt you can water them with your golden watering can.

You could also post in the train station looking for a town to pull weeds.

I got the weeding badges by collecting flowers from tours (great if you still need the island medal badges), then planting them in my town and TT'ing a day at a time to make them wilt. Like stitchmaker said, the wilted flowers count as weeds, and doing it this way allowed me to do it in my main town while making sure my villagers didn't move out. I imagine it's a bit slower than some other strategies might be, but it worked and I didn't have to completely destroy my town or buy a second copy.

it took you 5000 catches of bugs and fish plus 1000 for deep sea creatures to complete the encyclopedia?

also, fastest way would prob just be to find someone else with lots of weeds that will let you come to their town for weeding

To everyone reading this FYI:

- picking clovers does not count as a weed but wilted (brown) flowers DO count!

2 weeds a day usually appear without a Beautiful ordinance

I still have not reached Gold weeding badge - it is a lot of work! Good luck!!

Lol, this is the bane of my ACNL existence. I've got all of the badges, with the majority of them being gold, EXCEPT for the street pass badge. There's a big ol' gap right in that spot.

I used a second copy of the game for the weeding badge. Just keep time traveling. You can also ask other players if they have a villager cycling town filled with weeds that you can visit.
